Because of vision issues I have the screen zoomed in, but there is no bottom scroll bar to get the last bit (on the far right lol) of screen.
Its a minor issue cos its only the last bit of the words on the right, and I have worked as web dev so I know it will take more time testing it than fixing it, but just raising the issue to put it on the list.

DARPA's wild X-65 CRANE aircraft. |

Quote:DARPA's wild X-65 CRANE aircraft aims for 1st flight in summer 2025
DARPA and Aurora Flight Sciences have begun building the first full-scale X-65 aircraft to demonstrate a new method of flight control that uses no external moving parts.
The X-65 is an experimental jet being developed by the Control of Revolutionary Aircraft with Novel Effectors (CRANE) program overseen by DARPA, (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), the Pentagon's research and development agency. Since the first aircraft were invented, they have been controlled by moving surfaces such as rudders, flaps, elevators and ailerons.
The CRANE program aims to do away with these entirely and develop an aircraft controlled fully by jets of pressurized air that alter how the surrounding air flows over the aircraft while in flight. https://www.space.com/darpa-crane-x-65-a...t-sciences
I get a real Thunderbirds vibe from the look of the aircraft!
The first demonstrator will have both conventional moving control surfaces and what are known as active flow control (AFC) actuators, the jets of pressurized air to alter the flight surfaces. The demonstrator will have a 30ft wingspan and will feature a modular design, but I think most new miltiary aircraft are going for some sort of modular design these days.

Jeffrey Epstein's court documents are set to be unsealed in New York today
Here is another topic that could go in multiple folders, from Cover Ups to Conspiracies. What say you Deniers of Ignorance?
Don't believe anything will come from this but in today's climate, you never know...
Unreal how long its taking and who is fighting it's release.

Developed by Northrop Grumman, this stealth bomber is set to be the next-gen strategic bomber for the U.S. Air Force, boasting both conventional and nuclear capabilities.
The B-21 Raider's standout feature is its role in nuclear deterrence. With advanced stealth technology, it can penetrate enemy defenses, ensuring effective and undetected delivery of its payload. This capability enhances the U.S. nuclear triad, extending its reach deep into adversary territory.
Designed for flexibility and adaptability, the Raider leverages cutting-edge technology to stay relevant in evolving threat landscapes. Its role is not just about possessing a potent weapon but strategically using it to discourage potential adversaries.
In essence, the B-21 Raider signifies a significant advancement for the U.S. Air Force, particularly in nuclear deterrence. With its stealth, range, and adaptability, it promises to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of strategic defense.

Somebody had to get the ball rolling..
One major ghost sightings I have had was back in 1994. My friends and I had aquired some beer and we sat down on a log in the park to totally not be teen drinkers.
It was just on dusk and the street lights were on but it was still pretty light.
We cracked our first beers and then saw a shadow of a person running up the street, so we hide our beers.
The jogger whos shadow it was comes into sight and we're all a bit WTF. This guy looked straight out of the 70s, including his shoes!. 1994 was peak sneaker and he was wearing what looked like Dunlop Volleys.
Then he just vanished. is shadow was still visible but he wasnt. Then the shaddow merges into the shadow of a tree and then thats gone.
We made some jokes about our beers being spikes or we were just drunk off the first sip.
That was one of my stories; So, who got next?

The US Institute of Heraldry (military) |

So here's a neat (and unusual) site that I was introduced to today: the US Institute of Heraldry, which is all about military logos and designs:
Right here: The Institute of Heraldry | Home (army.mil)
There's a wealth of information and some very intriguing pages. I think the US Space Force has some of the oddest shoulder patches around: tioh.army.mil/Catalog/HeraldryList.aspx?CategoryId=11019&grp=15&menu=Uniformed Services -- the Space Operations Squadron frankly looks like Emperor Palpatine contemplating blowing up a basketball (in my humble opinion) and the Space Range patch is... uh.. well... I'm not sure what the message is here.
The heraldry of the other services is well documented (ever wonder what all the bars on a soldier's chest mean? Here ya go! Ribbons--Order of Precedence (army.mil)) but Space Force is one of those "who designs these things?" grab bag.
The US Space Force site has some information on how they designed their logos: The design of culture: US Space Force emblems > United States Space Force > Article Display
The whole discussion (where I found these tasty links) was on another board and was about this image:
Which is noted on Wikipedia (now I'm doing the rabbit holes for you. You can thank me later: Space Delta 18 - Wikipedia) -- and is LIVING PROOF THAT PEOPLE TODAY DON'T UNDERSTAND SYMBOLS, CONFOUND IT! (the sphinx that they've got is the symbol for pharonic power. The one they SHOULD have used (which means wisdom) is the Greek sphinx.)
And I have *no* idea why they'd put the coffin mask of a pharaoh on their logo. Undoubtedly it represents something to them... but I'm equally sure they have no idea that it's a piece that covered the coffin of a pharaoh and is not actually a symbol of what they think it is.)
Feh. Bad research.
But amusingly bad research. Anyhoo -- enjoy the weirdness!

Seemingly healthy son-in-law has blood clots in both lungs.
So my daughter and her husband flew down for Christmas to visit my ex and I for the holidays. My daughter calls on the 26th says SIL isn't feeling well, had been coughing etc. I told her that's OK just to stay at her Mom's till he felt better, we are about an hour away so it's not a just down road trip. Not to mention they didn't rent a car etc. it just seemed to be a better idea to give it a day. So the next day he isn't feeling better so I tell her to take him to the hospital, this is after asking the day before if it was bad enough to go to the doctor. They wound up just going the next day, to a crappy urgent care place, which said it was nothing, not pneumonia, the flu, COVID etc.
So they got back to my ex's and we got a car service to pick them up and take them to the airport they had a flight early in the morning that was Thursday. SO today I checked in with her and found out they are at the ER he is in some pain and at first said it was pneumonia and then later said he has blood clots on both lungs.
My daughter finally said he had been coughing for most of the month, he is practically a health nut, doesn't smoke or drink, eats healthy and is an amateur power lifter 29 years old.
It just really frustrated me that they didn't get it checked earlier and when they did they went to an Urgent Care place when an ER was just 10-15 minutes further.
Last I heard they are keeping him in the hospital for observation overnight, and it sounds like they will try medicines first. Getting all the information from her isn't easy...
Just want him and her to be OK, if they weren't 800 miles away Id be there at the hospital with her right now, Feeling bad I wasn't more insistent on them going to the hospital. But hell just checked my texts to her and I said go to a doctor over a dozen times.
Just frustrating as a concerned parent...

I don't normally do introductions as my username is the same wherever I go, but I just wanted to say it's great to see so many familiar people here!
I'll have to work on learning how to shrink pictures before i get an avatar. It took me years to figure it out on the other site, so don't expect anything soon.
I see MIM is here; I was a bit worried at not seeing him around. Hi MIM! And hello to all of the other transplants!

Has anybody played this weird media on PS4? The only difference between The Quarry and a film is the player's ability to change the story outcomes. But there is little for the player to gameplay-wise. Cut scenes dominate the Quarry, and the playable characters wander around.
Nor are the plot and the character's actions well thought out. I don't mind people with different tastes in gaming, but the lack of interactions suggests The Quarry isn't a console game.

Interesting podcast.
DIA intelligence agent in official 2011 report session in capital - we have a craft of unknown origin. A UFO.
Disclosure has happened people. It’s just more and more details coming out at this point.
Quote:We don't know if the UFO that James Lacatski was allowed to discuss in Initial Revelations was a crashed, landed or "gifted" UFO.
But the fact that it exists and given Lacatski's credentials, we know that crash retrievals are real and have been going on for a while now. You can read between the lines of what Lacataski states, including his statement that the UFO is housed in a "congressional facility."
"The USG has a UFO in its possession and has been able to access the inside of it."
Here is the full podcast wit Lacatski admitting it’s true:
Quote:astonishing revelations from former DIA intelligence analyst and UFO program manager Dr. James Lacatski. Lacatski's comments last week on WEAPONIZED generated strong reactions from the UFO public around the world. Jeremy and George sort out the impact of statements made by Lacatski and his co-author Dr. Colm Kelleher, and also take a deep dive into the new AARO report, why it failed to deliver what the public demands. As an added bonus, we resurrect an interview from the 1990's in which a legendary intelligence official candidly spoke about crash retrievals and reverse engineering programs.
