Hey everyone,
Just signing up here as this seems to be the place ATS'ers are migrating to. I'm looking forward to hanging out and reading the threads even though I am pretty quiet and rarely post. (3yr lurker and 15yr member at ATS with a whopping 638 posts ).
Thanks for setting up the forum and giving us all a place to go; we need one these days even more than we did 20yrs ago.
Cheers!

Hi everyone!
I'm assuming that ATS is dead when the domain name expires, so thought I'd bite the bullet and join up here.
It's great to see all the names from ATS, I was a member there a few times over the years, I was originally 'grainofsand' then 'CornishCeltGuy' then 'AdultMaleHumanUK' - I did sign up here as 'AdultMaleHumanUK' but stupidly forgot the 'throwaway' email I'd used, so I've rejoined as AdultMaleHuman today!
This place truly does seem like the old place, the only reason I hadn't joined in is because ATS was more 'user friendly' on a phone browser compared to here lol. I don't have any fixed internet, so I'm now typing this on my laptop, tethered to my mobile phone connection...one good thing I suppose, is I don't have the phone emoji's to use now, so you may get an improved typed performance from me pmsl!
Great to be here, and I hope DI ain't a flash in the pan...I really do hate change!!!

At times there has been conspiracy talk about a new Pandemic disrupting society and possibly even the upcoming elections in the USA. I have not really been to concerned one way or the other especially after the last COVID scare.
I got COVID after the military games held in Wuhan China spread the virus around the world; that was before COVID was a known entity. I think I was 72 years old back then and was treated for pneumonia and fever for 5 days . I was down but back playing golf in 8 days (not very well but there I was !) Gain of function may be rearing it's ugly head once again ? Ex-CDC Director Warns Gain-of-Function Research on Bird Flu Could Spark ‘Great Pandemic’
Quote:
‘Bird flu, I think, is going to be the cause of a great pandemic—where they are teaching these viruses how to be more infectious for humans,’ Dr. Redfield said.
Dr. Robert Redfield, former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has issued a grim warning about the dangers of gain-of-function research, predicting that scientists tinkering with making the bird flu virus more infectious is what will trigger the next “great pandemic.”
Dr. Redfield, who in the past railed against the use of U.S. tax dollars to fund gain-of-function research at the Chinese virus lab at the heart of the COVID-19 origin controversy, is once again sounding the alarm on the dangers of risky scientific experiments going badly awry.In a recent interview on NewsNation, Dr. Redfield recalled a recent op-ed he wrote in The Wall Street Journal calling for a moratorium on gain-of-function research, which involves altering the properties of a pathogen, such as its virulence, in order to study its potential impact on human health. https://lists.theepochtimes.com/links/QX...9Y2FizAzJC

U.S. Coastguard Acushnet UFO Incident - Removal of Naval Logbooks. |

Pretty amazing just how many links have been taken down involving UFO (and USO) research but this case looks to be quite an interesting one involving claims of a daylight, close range sighting of a flying, grey, domed, saucer shaped object by crew aboard the U.S. Coastguard Cutter Acushnet on maneuvers between Miami and Cuba in 1977.
Quote:UFO Hovering At 190 Degrees To Port Plays Havoc Aboard Cutter Acushnet In 1977
Image
HBCC UFO Research Note: Here is another example of what I believe to be a cover up as the witnesses mentions in his letter/report. I know I have personally heard many stories from servicemen and woman who along with their shipmates have been witness to some unusual crafts which were maneuvering in ways that are not known here on earth.
Message: I saw a UFO in 1977 while serving on the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Acushnet. It messed with our communications and compasses, and was redirected by 2 Phantoms which appeared suddenly. The Log Book was removed. Can you say cover up?
Info:
Well, Sir, I was a (removed by HBCC due to it giving away who this person was/is). I was coming on watch when the General Quarters alarm went off. We lost steering while towing a Giant new "Meteorological" buoy toward Cuba. (Get it?) As I entered the Bridge I was also informed that the electronics and auxiliary were malfunctioning.
It was an old ship, so I wasn't overly freaked until I saw what everyone was staring up at. Prototypical Saucer with lights hovering at 190 degrees to port, and at 1000 yards elevated. The tow line was limp, and the buoy shrouded in a bizarre fog. Two Phantoms sped toward it at an angle above/abeam and it moved at incredible speed vertical zig-zag until out of sight about 4 seconds .
After a brief meeting in the C/O's cabin, the log I was keeping was replaced, and I was told by a 1st class P.O. who moments before sounded like he was crapping bricks from his bow station ("Get me someone else down here!"). That it never happened, and if I know what's good for me I won't say anything more about it. Detailed enough?
Lots of different aspects to this testimony including a bizarre fog, E.M. effects (loss of steering, engine and electronics), highly unusual UFO flight characteristics and pursuing F4 Phantom Navy jets but what stood out for me were the subsequent orders never to discuss the incident and removal of naval log books (which isn't the first time this has been reported).
Below is quite an in depth interview with one of the witnesses where he goes into more detail about the object (red and green undulating lights); how there was no noise and the atmosphere around it 'vibrated'; how the ship's compass was spinning '360" and how all the ship's functions restarted once the UFO departed.
• Sourced by Easynow
Quote:Witness claims that during ship operations, while towing some type of buoy (possibly and electronic functioning buoy) per normal Coast Guard vessel operations, early in the morning after daylight, on some date between 1976 and 1977, the ship he was on lost all electric power, lost its engines and the tow line attached to the buoy was no longer visible. He states the compass on the bridge was also was gyrating 360 degrees.
The witness states the ship (USCGC Acushnet - WAGO 167), went to General Quarters and as he ran up the ladder towards the bridge outside the ship to his assigned duty post, he looked aft and noticed a fog-like cloud just off the stern of the ship cloaking to buoy that was being towed and also noticed a grey hovering disc-shaped craft approximately 500 feet in the air just behind the ship.
If you or someone you know witnessed this event please contact Florida MUFON at [email protected]

A tale of misinformation: The Avocado |

I would like to begin by congratulating and commending the folks over at SciShow, and Hank Green - I would consider these folks not to be 'spreaders of misinformation'... at least not intentionally.
I came across this because of their YouTube presence, and the fact that I too love avocados, generally speaking.
But during the course of the video some very interesting facts came were confirmed... facts that are particularly relevant to my interest in what we call misinformation (and disinformation when purposefully communicated.)
The synopsis is this. Ground Sloths, and other large herbivores during the Pleistocene Era are not the reason Avocados (with their relatively huge pits) were disseminated across the southern American continent. It is unlikely that they had anything to do with their spread - there is no evidence to even hint at this idea. But since the 1980's that was the predominately promulgated "scientific fact" in academia and thus, media reporting (sadly, SciShow inadvertently spread this for a bit too.) The subject treatment focuses on the avocado itself, but my intention is to show "how" this became the stuff of conversations in the world.
The thing I want to focus on is shared in the video... the narrator, Hank Green, discloses that a scientific paper published in the 80s mentioned that large animals (like the mastodon) ought to also be considered as 'dispersers of seeds' in the Costa Rica region, not only birds and other small herbivores. That paper made no mention of Avocados... but later that year, another paper published extended the hypothesis that maybe the idea applied to avocados consumed by ground sloths as well. SciShow covers this at approximately the 1 minute 40 second mark - pointing out that neither paper included any data about avocados, nor ground sloths.
Hank then says "I guess it was just really easy to get papers published in the 80's."
Since we here have offered several threads and reports about paper mills, and retracted "published" "peer-reviewed" papers today... one might say that was a gross understatement... because no-one was paying close attention to the abusive practices (plagiarism, fraud, and recycled errors) in the 'scientific publication' "industry" back then... but I suspect it was no better then than has been proven to be now.
At any rate, my heart-felt admiration for SciShow folks who remedied the error expeditiously... reminding us all that there remains out there, in the world of monetized video, those people who aren't going to just 'publish and forget' the information they offer.
Thanks for clearing that up... and thank you for what you do.

Ontario Government to suspend driver’s licenses for car theft convictions |

Good day folks!
I read in my news feed this morning that the Ontario government is going to hand out driver’s license suspensions for those convicted of automobile theft.
The suspension will be 10 years for 1st offense, 15 years for 2nd offense and a lifetime suspension for 3rd offense.
Apparently in the city of Toronto alone, 12,000 vehicles were stolen in 2023. That’s 1 every 40 minutes, costing the Insurance industry a billion dollars a year….
I live out in western Canada and not familiar with our statistics but I can see merit in this decision, if they are unable or unwilling to go with longer prison sentences.

Possible breakthrough on ALS treatment |

Good morning/afternoon/evening for wherever you hang your hat.
https://apple.news/AeRjRw417SgWKrjvb-Pu7aQ
Western University researchers in London, Ontario have announced a possible breakthrough in treatment for ALS.
ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) or Lou Gehrig’s Disease is a fatal neurodegenerative disease affecting nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord resulting in progressive loss of motor neurons.
This process usually begins in the limbs and works its way inward. Resulting in paralysis and loss of speech until the body is incapable of breathing, etc. There’s an even rarer version that starts inwards and works outward, which can start with diaphragmatic and intercostal muscle loss before attacking the limbs.
In any event, researchers found that a specific protein has been found accumulating in spinal motor neurons that may be the culprit. But, they also found another protein that counteracts the first protein and are concentrating on it.
Very good news, as I have had a number of these patients over the years and it is quite devastating to the patients and their families and friends.

Why The Nuremberg Code Exists. |

First of all apologies for the long thread but did trim this research down a lot.
Following on from the current controversy surrounding the Nuremberg code then thought it might be worth looking at why the code actually exists in the first place - some familiar names do start to pop up.
• Backhistory - Nazi Financiers:
May as well start somewhere and for folks who haven't seen it then thought this was a truly interesting interview with Professor Anthony C. Sutton who exposes how specific U.S. groups 'financed' the Nazi war machine before and during WW2.
Some sterling research being discussed (sourced from Nuremberg documents archived at the Hoover Institute) and the Prof covers some pretty eye opening revelations regarding household names such as Rockefeller Standard Oil, General Electric, Ford, AEG Insurance and ITT (International Telephone and Telegraph).
It also identifies IG Farben as being the largest donor to Hitler (and the second largest stockholder of Rockefeller Standard Oil) and apparently ITT and Rockefeller Standard Oil were financing SS Chief Heinrich Himmler's Keppler fund as late as 1944.
From 3:30
Quote:Penetrating a cloak of falsehood, deception and duplicity, Professor Antony C. Sutton reveals one of the most remarkable but unreported facts of the Second World War: that key Wall Street banks and American businesses supported Hitler's rise to power by financing and trading with Nazi Germany.
He presents a thoroughly documented account of the role played by J.P. Morgan, T.W. Lamont, the Rockefeller interests, General Electric Company, Standard Oil, National City Bank, Chase and Manhattan banks, Kuhn, Loeb and Company, General Motors, the Ford Motor Company, and scores of others in helping to prepare the bloodiest, most destructive war in history.
Free E-Book:
Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler by Professor Antony C. Sutton
• Also some truly illuminating information here at 31:45 from the late, great journalist Jim Marrs.
• Document Archive:
Some very interesting reading below from Colonel Bernard Bernstein's report and apparently 'without IG Farben, WWII would not have been possible'.. but thanks to the growing influence of the Rockefeller and Rothschild groups much of the evidence against IG Farben 'disappeared, was destroyed, or was declared inadmissible'.
Quote:Under the growing influence of the Rockefeller and Rothschild groups on post-war world order and with the beginning of the "Cold War" much of the initially available evidence against the oil and drug cartel IG Farben disappeared, was destroyed, or was declared inadmissible in the 1947/1948 Nuremberg trial against the IG Farben cartel.
Thus, the 1945 "Report on the Investigation of IG Farbenindustrie A.G." by the US Office of the Military Government in Germany is the original report by the Allied powers establishing the direct responsibility of the IG Farben Cartel for WWII, the holocaust and ultimately for the death of over 60 million people.
Report on the Investigation of IG Farben Industry
Despite being hidden away for sixty years the Nuremberg document archive can now be accessed free online and when it comes to the original 'big pharma' IG Farben there are some revealing documents here describing their 'four year plan' preparing the Nazis for war and further reading here showing how they were behind horrific medical experiments and actively liaising with the SS.
• IG Farben:
IG Farben is one of the main reasons the Nuremberg code exists and one of its cofounders was Max Warburg (brother of German bankster Paul Warburg who helped create the U.S. Federal Reserve) - it was formed out of a union of Bayer, Cassella, Kalle, BASF, AGFA and Hoechst.
Also known as the 'corporate sponsors of Auschwitz', IG Farben was responsible for the Zyklon-B gas used in the death camps whilst also producing 84% of the explosives used by the Wehrmacht in WW2.

Quote:
Quote:"Farben was Hitler and Hitler was Farben"
Senator Homer T. Bone to Senate Committee on Military Affairs, June 4, 1943
The Empire Of I.G. Farben
• Experiments:
Quote:Auschwitz was the largest mass extermination factory in human history. However, few people are aware that Auschwitz was a 100% subsidiary of IG Farben.
It's reported that the Auschwitz concentration camp served as a vast source of slave labour for the 'I.G. Auswichtz Industrial Complex' and apparently the pharma cartel was so deeply entwined with the S.S. that they actually payed them 'retainer fees' for camp inmates to conduct their lethal drug / vaccine experiments on.
Quote:In the Auschwitz files correspondence was discovered between the camp commander and Bayer. It dealt with the sale of 150 female prisoners for experimental purposes:
“We confirm your response, but consider the price of 200 RM per woman to be too high. We propose to pay no more than 170 RM per woman..
“The experiments were performed. All test persons died. We will contact you shortly about a new shipment."
Amongst many other things camp inmates were also deliberately infected with typhus, tuberculosis, diphtheria etc. at Dachau, Mauthausen and Gusen camps but Bayer concentrated most of its efforts at Auschwitz and 'Block 20' women's camp hospital.
Quote:Otto Armbrust, the IG Farben board member responsible for the Auschwitz project, stated to his IG Farben board colleagues,
“our new friendship with the SS is a blessing. We have determined all measures integrating the concentration camps to benefit our company.”
Dr Josef Mengele also worked alongside IG Farben doctors and in close collaboration with the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute (funded by the Rockefellers).
Some extremely disturbing things being described (including mass testing of chemo drugs and mass sterilization) but reader discretion for this book as it does describe some truly horrific testing in the Auschwitz camp - apparently the German representatives of the Bayer Company were secretly members of the S.S. and had also built 'a large underground unit of spies'.
Would be very interested in opinions on this short video concerning the book - especially the quote found at 4:30.

For this our inaugural debate, in deference to this being the first "plunge," I will assure that the waters are not too deep, and the topic will NOT be a matter of heated politics, ideological advocacy, or charged contemporary issue (those come later.) Although it may be that one of the challengers could and might make it seem so... (that's part of the fun!)
We will reach for something less fiery this time... something many might even consider 'light'... but rest assured... it will be challenging to both.
May the challengers honor us with a good effort... and I wish them both good luck!
The assertion, and center of the debate will be....
The Alien Presence.
(For countless centuries, human beings have been intermittently obsessed and or dismissive regarding the presence of intelligent entities "other than human" in their world. From myth to legend, from parapsychology to hardened scientific speculations, the explanations have veered between near certainties to suspect fabrications.)
Assertion: Presuming they exist, we (humans) should organize formal public efforts to definitively "contact" these beings and commence a dialog with them openly.
Our valiant Deny Ignorance Fighters Putnam6, and IdeomotorPrisoner will tackle this assertion directly... should we or shouldn't we?
Putman6 will begin, promoting seeking contact.
IdeoMotorPrisoner will alternately follow, arguing against contact.
Clear the field, gather the contestants, open the arena...
set the VCR to 'record,' and get me some popcorn... the time is now!
Your humble host,

I captured this image yesterday afternoon at about 5:30 PM PT.
It is a still from a ~35 minute video shot in the highest resolution possible on an iPhone15ProMax.
I was filming into a cloudless/high altitude haze sky (more on that later).
This object was observed for around 5 minutes after it flew in, loitered in place and changed locations a few times before going behind some trees. I estimate the object is about 200-500 meters away through the video. Far enough that, from the camera, a full-size car would appear small at minimum.
It behaved as though it was surveying - it moved from one spot to the next silently. No noise. It was also invisible to the naked eye. It was without adding contrast and light filter did the “clear sky” become anything but.
I don’t view this as a chance find as I set up the video intentionally to see if I could spot something on review - and did.
I live in a not really all that special place. There’s nothing here that I can think of that’s terribly notable. The entire flight, for instance, was over a set of neighborhoods with one exception being two plots of land amongst the neighborhoods that are large and have very run down houses on them. Probably the most vacant piece of land in the immediate area. There may be something to that.
The rest of the area is again unremarkable - suburbia. There are no major landmarks, the closest power substation is at least 1.5 miles away, no ranches or herds. No power plants. The only thing here is a lake but a pretty unremarkable one at that.
I’ll post more about my observations from this find later today.
I’ve seen these before but never for this duration - which gave me a big opportunity to study behavior.
There were many other smaller objects caught on the video that I rule out being birds, drones or insects (though I did capture birds and insects, too) and this object is not a drone - way too big - and way too rectangular.
Suffice to say, the watchers are watching.
Here’s a few more images you a sense of what I mean by being over the trees - and happed to capture another object in the image, too.

Dr. Colin A. Ross, M.D.
Came across these two short videos whilst looking into the CIA/Rockefeller sponsored MKUltra experiments and thought there was some pretty revealing content being discussed about how there exists no actual evidence for any of the claims made in psychiatry (and how it's all just based on opinions from vested interests).
Quote:Perhaps we should look deeper before blindly trusting "authorities" with our mental health.
Also, as award acceptance speeches go, thought this was a bit of a classic from Dr. Jeffrey Schaler who raised some rather thought provoking points.
• Dr. Jeffrey Schaler Professor of Psychology describes psychiatry as a pseudo science:
When it comes to pharmaceutical cartel sponsored psychiatry then there are also some pretty powerful statements being made below by various medical professionals.
Pretty sobering reading for those who have been convinced by these people to dose their loved ones with extremely powerful psychotropic drugs.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how psychiatry can not be considered a pseudosciemce considering it's absolute lack of objective evidence?
Would be interested to hear any thoughts on the content of the vids or statements made below.
Cheers.

I couldn't find a spiritual forum, but this will do.
This is a spiritual enlightenment.
I have been on my own spiritual journey for quite some time. Truth be told, I've been on this journey my entire life; only just now coming to realize it. It has been like falling asleep; slowly at first, and then all at once.
The deep spiritual awakening started in January of 2018. At first it was pure bliss, peace and joy like I've never known. Insight after insight. It was if psychic abilities started to awaken within me. I started to learn to control my environment. I was learning how giving my energy to people can affect them depending on the energy given to them. If i was charged up with a powerful energy of peace, every person around me was affected, and they too would rest in that peace. All these experiences were so wonderful and inspiring. I walked around on cloud nine, in total peace love and joy. I was spreading this around, and sharing these things with anyone and everyone. It was nirvana.
As things progressed I started to pass along wisdom I was learning and growing in. I'm a born teacher and so I began to teach. It was always those who were down on their luck, or lost in their journey, or just needed to feel loved and important. I had many people who came to me for a comforting word, or insight into themselves or their lives and paths. Many people came to me and were blessed by the very things that were blessing me. This too was nirvana.
As time went on a bit, and as I was seeing deeper into the truth, more and more lies were coming into the light. The curtain was being drawn back even further. I started to see the true wickedness of the world. The depravity of spirit in the world. The lack of compassion and love was becoming abundantly clear to me. My time of teaching was coming to an end. I started to see that people didn't like the truth. The more truth I spoke the more I was starting to be cast aside. Slowly at first, and then all at once. I found myself alone. The joy and peace were wavering as I became distraught by the lack of love in the human heart. I started to realize that it was not enlightenment people were looking for.
Isolation came...
As I sat alone I started to dive deep into meditation. I started exploring deeper into my mind. I was in depression now. The darkest deepest depression I had ever known. I wept for the world....and myself. I saw the darkest parts of my mind. The evil within me. The dark shadow of my mind and my soul. I hated what I saw. I saw myself for who I truly am, down to the darkest parts of myself. I found out I was angry. Fiercely angry at the injustices of this world. I was furious at all the suffering and pain. I was angry at people for their lack of love and compassion for one another. I had relived every pain I had ever felt. I had fallen into the darkest place I had ever been. As this was at its darkest, taking my own life came to mind. It was all too much. I felt I couldn't do anything to help or stop or change any of this. I had reached this realization, and I didn't like the world I was seeing....nor did I want to be a part of it anymore. I didn't like the evil that was inside of myself. I had hurt people even without the desire to hurt anyone. I wrestled with these thoughts for months.
And then the dawn came. Like watching the sky start to turn as the sun starts to bring light back to the sky after a long dark night.
I am in the dawn at the moment. Just before the sun comes up.
I am glad to see the Light again. I can't wait to see what this New Day brings...

Big Three carriers... "claims" of false advertising... "Settled" |

|
In what may be a classic case of shameless commerce "justice," a 49-state lawsuit against the "Big Three" (T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T) ended in "settlement" with the usual (or dare I say obligatory) phrase stating that the settlement "reflect[s] no finding of improper conduct."
With the exception of Florida, which did not participate in the action, the settlement consists of some $10 million in compensation from the companies ... which will make the allegations of the US states (that the carriers falsely advertised wireless plans as "unlimited" and phones as "free") go away... while holding no one accountable... Oh, and by the way, "It's unclear whether consumers will get any refunds out of the settlement, however."
From ArsTechnica: Big Three carriers pay $10M to settle claims of false “unlimited” advertising
"A multistate investigation found that the companies made false claims in advertisements in New York and across the nation, including misrepresentations about 'unlimited' data plans that were in fact limited and had reduced quality and speed after a certain limit was reached by the user," the announcement said.
T-Mobile and Verizon agreed to pay $4.1 million each while AT&T agreed to pay a little over $2 million. The settlement includes AT&T subsidiary Cricket Wireless and Verizon subsidiary TracFone.
The settlement involves 49 of the 50 US states (Florida did not participate) and the District of Columbia. The states' investigation found that the three major carriers "made several misleading claims in their advertising, including misrepresenting 'unlimited' data plans that were actually limited, offering 'free' phones that came at a cost, and making false promises about switching to different wireless carrier plans."
"AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile lied to millions of consumers, making false promises of free phones and 'unlimited' data plans that were simply untrue," James said. "Big companies are not excused from following the law and cannot trick consumers into paying for services they will never receive."
Whether they are actually "without any guilt" is a question I will leave to you, but a substantial element is a concession made by the companies to abide by a set of "restrictions"... but only for the next five years...
what restrictions...? Take look [all underlining is mine]:
- "Unlimited" mobile data plans can only be marketed if there are no limits on the quantity of data allowed during a billing cycle.
- Offers to pay for consumers to switch to a different wireless carrier must clearly disclose how much a consumer will be paid, how consumers will be paid, when consumers can expect payment, and any additional requirements consumers have to meet to get paid.
- Offers of "free" wireless devices or services must clearly state everything a consumer must do to receive the "free" devices or services.
- Offers to lease wireless devices must clearly state that the consumer will be entering into a lease agreement.
- All "savings" claims must have a reasonable basis. If a wireless carrier claims that consumers will save using its services compared to another wireless carrier, the claim must be based on similar goods or services or differences must be clearly explained to the consumer.
So get ready for 2029... when they presumably will resume their "normal" advertising practices.
It's like our regulators and their legal world have no problem eviscerating justice in deference to Big Commerce... I'm not exactly surprised though.

Deny Ignorance: debates are back! |

We are especially grateful for the opportunity to launch our first Deny Ignorance debate!
In short order we will begin.
We must however discuss protocol, which in all cases are subordinate and in addition to the Deny Ignorance Terms and Conditions, which means if you break the T&C will likely be declared in forfeit.
The entire structure of a Deny Ignorance debate creates a focused dialog, affirming or rejecting a proposition. Each participant will follow a pattern of posts that respect certain boundaries.
When making the opening post – Each member defines the topic in their own words, and proposes their position. Debaters should not directly question their opponent. No links to outside sources are allowed. There should be no graphic images or media.
The second, third, and fourth set of posts will consist of each participant expanding upon their position, developing their tone, and making an argument. Questions to the adversary are allowed, as are links (no more than two please in any post.) Embedded graphic images are allowed but they must be properly attributed… which still counts as part of the word count.
The fifth (closing) post may include any direct answers, and a summary of their argument, but no links are allowed.
Random staff will be judging the body of the debate and after consultation and consensus, a winner will be declared.
In this debate all post will be limited to 800 words. Each entire link counts as a single word. Each participant has 24 hours to respond to their opponents post.
That’s pretty much it for the rules, but a word about ‘rules:’
We are not robots. Sometimes life won’t be deterred, things happen…
While under normal circumstances missing a deadline, failing to respond in time, is grounds to forfeit a debate; if both debaters agree they can persuade the host to forgo declaring an ‘automatic’ forfeiture of the debate.
However, the judges always have the final word.
Stay tuned for the topic and participants of the first debate... hopefully very soon to follow.

Climate irony - Cleaner Air = Less Cooling Effect |

This is in no way a "Let's do nothing" propaganda piece.
It is absolutely imperative that we, as a species, reign in our drive to combust things (or at least cease materialistically "burning through" the earth as if the only thing that matters is "now.") However, as I have maintained all along, listening to "activists" or "media advocacy productions" for so MANY years, you simply can't take everything they say as utter and complete "factual truth."
This article explains something in terms of science, which I have NEVER heard any 'advocate of climate' say... namely that we obviously don't know everything, and what we actually "do" about what we "think" we know can sometimes prove to be exactly contrary to what we intend.
From MIT Technology Review: The inadvertent geoengineering experiment that the world is now shutting off
Subtitled: As the air gets cleaner, the world is also losing an important cooling effect.
Usually when we talk about climate change, the focus is squarely on the role that greenhouse-gas emissions play in driving up global temperatures, and rightly so. But another important, less-known phenomenon is also heating up the planet: reductions in other types of pollution.
In particular, the world’s power plants, factories, and ships are pumping much less sulfur dioxide into the air, thanks to an increasingly strict set of global pollution regulations. Sulfur dioxide creates aerosol particles in the atmosphere that can directly reflect sunlight back into space or act as the “condensation nuclei” around which cloud droplets form. More or thicker clouds, in turn, also cast away more sunlight. So when we clean up pollution, we also ease this cooling effect.
Unlike the utterings of activists and ideologues, this idea is not based upon statistical assumptions, but measurements. It involves radiative forcing, and simple logic... verified through measurement. It is not ideology; it is not based upon "social" and or "political" conceptualization. It bears no narrative.
While the truth remains that the earth's warming trend is certainly not hindered by our collective behaviors, for the first time I can recall, it shows that our knee-jerk reaction of martializing public sentiment and 'stopping' what we were doing, may not have been a "solution" to the problem... it was more complicated than alarmists claimed, and relying on thespian media to 'report' may be shortsighted, and ultimately counterproductive.
In the article, the ill-effects of what he refers to generally as "air pollution" is abruptly shifted...
While society basically accepted for well over a century that ships were inadvertently emitting sulfur dioxide into the air, flipping those emissions back on for the purpose of easing global warming would amount to a form of solar geoengineering, a deliberate effort to tweak the climate system.
Many think such planetary interventions are far too powerful and unpredictable for us to muck around with. And to be sure, this particular approach would be one of the more ineffective, dangerous, and expensive ways to carry out solar geoengineering, if the world ever decided it should be done at all. The far more commonly studied concept is emitting sulfur dioxide high in the stratosphere, where it would persist for longer and, as a bonus, not be inhaled by humans.
This excerpt sort of obfuscates that "changing the way we had been using fossil fuels all along" was ALSO an "intervention." Whatever dynamics were in play as we made that change ALSO affected the ebb and flow of climate systems (that we pretended to understand well enough to force a socially engineered frame of mind in the entire world - against 'fossil' fuel use.)
I blame no-one in particular (although I realize that the whole matter has been exploited for personal profit and glory.) But I mean to convey the mistake we risk when listening to the "virtue" highlighted by media... that the media now aims to entertain, not to inform.
As a result of this measured effect, some are now entertaining the notion of "resuming" use of air polluting behaviors... since "it won't hurt the planets temperature." Never mind anything "other" than the planet's temperature [insert eyeroll]… (I expect lobbyists for the "industry" will be all over this, because: money.)

Mining UFOs. |

Following on from this thread dealing with the rather large number of UFOs witnessed over hydro-electric dams (and other high energy sources like power stations, high tension power lines, radio communication towers etc.) thought there was another intriguing compilation below involving UFOs over mines.
Video:
Synopsis:
Quote:UFOs are being seen all over our planet. But there is one specific type of location that is attracting large numbers of UFOs: mines! UFOs are targeting our mines. Gold mines, silver mines, iron mines, copper mines, titanium mines, uranium mines and more: all are being visited by UFOs.
UFOs are not only hovering over mines, they are also landing. Humanoids are being seen. In some cases, the mines are being physically affected. Photographs have been taken. Some mines have been targeted over and over again. Cases come from across the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Europe, Russia, Africa, Australia and more.
Would say Preston's 'ET' title is a bit presumptuous as there are plenty of different origin hypotheses out there but thought he did a mighty fine job of compiling all the UFO cases (about 50) - some of which involve low level sightings and large numbers of witnesses.
Pretty compelling stuff if you ask me and Canadian researcher Donald Campbell also pops up around the 41:20 mark recounting some very strange UFO antics over Sudbury mines in Ontario (there's also a relevant government document here about UFOs over Uranium mines in the Congo).
If anyone knows of any other incidents or has any opinions on the video content (if they watch it) then please post away.
Cheers.

Does a Connection Exist between a lifetime of Sleep Paralysis & UFO's my story |

I was invited to join DI by DTOM as I am an alumni of ATS. I posted much there on my sightings of UFO's that began on May 4, 2018 in South Carolina over Lake Murray. I also posted much on my Sleep Paralysis. In brief our backyard 2nd floor outside deck looks towards the Georgia and South Carolina border. I have seen flashing pulsating five color UFO's along with orange and white objects and then we have the silent Black Triangle. I can also tell the difference between a star, satellite, space junk and a garbage can lid.
To date it is my opinion that the flashing pulsating five color UFO's that mimic a star are owned by the USA or some black ops group aligned with the USA. I am not sure on the Black Triangles. In my opinion the orange ones are of non-human origin as they were first reported in the late 1800's. Meaning they are aliens. The white one was a huge drone, IMO as we watched the flashing pulsating five color UFO's control it one day over the Savannah River Nuclear Reservation. The five-color ones can travel 1000’s of miles in a second. Just like a cursor on a desktop mouse.

Since my sighting on May 4, 2018 and documented on NUFORC my life has been somewhat absorbed in finding the truth as in "the truth is out there" Fox Mulder stuff. As a result I began to follow Dr. Gary Nolan, Stanford University, Dr. Jacques Vallee, University of Paris and Dr. Diana Walsh Palsulka, Syracuse University who has a PhD in Religious studies and is currently a professor at UNC Wilmington. Here’s a link to one of her books as her take is that Contact with Aliens wont Eradicate Belief in Religion & God either. In my opinion people would flock back to religion if and when ET shows up as we do seem to have abductions, crop circles and cattle mutilations. We also have Sleep Paralysis. I have had it since age 7. Almost 1000 lifetime episodes. It began as an evil presence but then morphed into a 7' tall faceless hooded figure. In 2018 because of ATS and SLED735 I found that what I had was called Sleep Paralysis. I began to pray to God. The hooded thing hasn’t been back since and were at 6+ years later. In May 2021 I had another life changing event. It caused me to contact the Catholic Church that I had abandoned decades ago. I now continue to attend church weekly and pray to the rosary. That’s my agreement with Father Robert Morey so as to be under the Spiritual Protection of the Catholic Church. I was told in 2022 by Dr. Sheila Pryce Brooks that the hooded thing is “The Guardian of the Threshold”. [Reference – Rudolf Steiner]. So here we are today. My last Sleep Paralysis episode was in January 2022. My last UFO sighting was on Labor Day weekend 2022
My journey has now lead me to Dr. Pasulka as I will reach out and contact her to see if she can explain a possibly connection to Sleep Paralysis and UFO’s as both were occurring at an alarming frequency during Christmas week in 2018. Then all ceased. I am willing to pay for a consultation.
I am attaching a link to one of her books so if you are on the fence take a read and keep humanity in your prayers.
I will provide an update as this continues. I will also be doing a 2nd Podcast with Dr. Brooks this fall on this matter. She’s affiliated with York University, London UK. I do it for free. Under another pseudonym.

Things You Still Eat That You Loved As a Kid |

I'm sure many people have favorite foods from childhood and I'm no exception. There are simple things in life and sometimes it's our tummies that let us know. Some things from childhood we just can't forget and can't stop eating as we consume our way through life with that inkling of comfort from way back with the foods we still enjoy.
Recently, I'm SO into Fish Finger toasted sandwiches again, I Love 'em! Olive oil fried fish fingers in breadcrumb batter, lightly toasted soft square wholegrain bread and homemade Tartare Sauce (lemon juice, chopped Pickle and Mayo). Crunchy, reasonably healthy and a nice tangy sauce dribbling all over my hands. There is always a grin on my face as I lick the plate.
Second up is good old Sphagetti Bolognaise. My Grandma would make it and we'd dress for dinner and have a glass of wine that my Grandpa would carefully select, open, let breathe and then serve like a waiter as he told us about it. That was cool as a kid, sitting at a proper dining table with candelabras, napkins and silverware. The one thing I would always do is ask for a second helping. I may be a slim little thing, but boy I could eat like a horse and still do given the chance. They lived on a farm and I was always off exploring so had a ferocious appetite come dinner times. Sphagetti Bolognaise is still a favorite and I still have second helpings. Especially good when it's my own veggies added to the pot. I have never made a bad one and even my Mother has asked for a second helping....wow!
Third up is just about anything edible in a savoury pastry. I used to be obsessed with Cornish Pasties to the point where people would give them to me for Christmas. Yay! Pies, Pasties, Cheese and Marmite tarts (omg), Quiche etc etc. The super-special though has to be "Boeuf En Croute", it's the poshest thing possible with pastry and I also love beef.
Fourth up is "Campbells" vegetable soup. It's just a good old favorite and....de-lish-ous! It has little pasta letters in it so I pick them out to make words...lol. I buy a tin now and then in the winter time for those cold nights by the fire and I cook it on my woodburner. Timeless in a tin.
Last up is Peanut Butter and Pickled Beetroot sandwiches. Me thinks they just go so well together. Many memories of picnics, school trips, fishing and camping. Something I now usually have as a snack in Summertime when I work hard in the garden and can't be bothered to cook. I love beetroot because it stains everything. Messy eating is always fun.

Dollar stronger? Central Banks buying up gold! |

For reasons that are probably 'simple' to the global economists, but mercurial to me, banks all over the globe have begun to buy up gold. According to the attached article, the strengthening of the US Dollar has caused a buying spree of bullion by central banks all over the globe, but most notable China, which over the last year and a half has increased its gold reserve unabashedly.
From BusinessInsider.com: The US dollar is so strong that China's central bank, among others, just keeps loading up on gold - China's economy is struggling, leading to a surge in gold purchases as a safe-haven asset.
- Central banks are on a gold-buying spree, contributing to record-high spot gold prices.
- Other central banks are also buying gold to diversify their assets on the back of a strong US dollar.
So the global economy gaming continues...
China's economy is in a funk, and people are rushing out to buy gold as a safe-haven asset to hedge against economic uncertainties, sending prices of the precious metal to record highs.
The country's central bank has also gotten into the act, adding 60,000 troy ounces of gold to its stash in April, according to official data released Tuesday. It marked the 18th straight month the People's Bank of China added to its gold reserves.
But it's not just about economic uncertainty. The heightened interest in gold is also a pushback to the strong US dollar, which is making it too expensive for emerging nations such as China to import goods.
The US Dollar Index — which measures the value of the green against a basket of six other currencies — has risen 4% this year and 10% since the start of 2022. This is because of the Federal Reserve's interest-rate hikes since March 2022, which tend to strengthen the dollar.
Turkey, India, Kazakhstan, Oman, Kyrgyzstan, and Poland are all loading up significantly, and the dollars' strength is reported not a good thing... for the rest of the world.
The rush into gold assets may not bode well for the US dollar in the longer run, should the currency continue to gain.
"A stronger USD would weaken its role as reserve currency," economists at Allianz, an international financial-services firm, wrote in a report in June last year. "If access to USD becomes more expensive, borrowers will search for alternatives."
Apparently the world fears dependence on the US dollar as they try to become independent of it, and fear vulnerability to US sanctions...
It appears we can't do anything right... strong currency in the US has been maneuvered into meaning bad things for those who wish to remain adversarial to us, weak US dollar means American consumers drift away from prosperity... we just can't earn enough. How to 'win' the global game is less important than how to survive.
Can we imagine what the banks will do next? Does it matter, they win in any case.
