My Confirmation saint - St. Teresa of Avila.
Born in 1515. 
Died for three days from an illness and came back miraculously. 
Then died for good in 1582.
Many miracles are associated with her both in life and in death.
She reformed the Carmelite order in the Catholic church.
It had grown lax and worldly. 
She and St. John of the Cross revived it and wrote many spiritual works.

The famous words from St. Teresa of Avila -

All things are passing away:
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things.
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.”

I was Third Order Carmelite for many years and am familiar with her writings.  My husband still is Third Order Carmelite.   We try to keep these words in mind.  My husband does a good job.  Me?  Not so much.  I worry about everything, especially the suffering that comes with illness' and with potential money problems as we get older and the income drops.

Of the other kind...What are more of the interesting room mates that you have had?

In my current home I share space with a "shadow" cat and something else, maybe it's owner that is a child or a very short person.

The cat is pretty chilled, it will just appear randomly for a short time and then be gone.  No sense of malice or anything else. I have had a report of it jumping on a bed and touching someone, but I have not experience anything like that. It once came right past me on the stairs, but that's as exciting as it gets for me.

The other shadow entity I'm not so sure about.  I generally get the feeling if I leave it alone it will leave us alone.  Not much to report other than I just catch a glimpse of it now and then. It's about 4-5 feet tall so small.

It's Columbus Day.

The arrival of Europeans was bad for the people who lived here.  But it was good for those who came and settled.  That's the way of the world.  Demographics change.   Long ago, ten thousand years ago, people lived here, then the Clovis arrived and wiped them out.  Then the 'American Indians' arrived and wiped out the Clovis.   Then the Europeans and others arrived and the American Indians were overtaken and dwindled.  Now it's all of South America invading .. and America will turn 'brown' and Spanish speaking.   And it'll be our own fault that we are over taken.

The US Navy successfully demonstrated the new TRAM (Transferrable Reload At-sea Method) system, showing that it's possible to reload a ship at sea for the first time. The USS Chosin, operating off the coast of San Diego, loaded an empty missile container into the Mk41 VLS system.  The resupply ship USNS Washington Chambers transferred the missile container by cable to Chosin, who then used TRAM to move the container along rails attached to the VLS. They then rotated it vertically, and slid the canister into the tube.

TRAM will significantly reduce the amount of time a ship will be out of combat for reload and resupply. Instead of having to go all the way to a port, and be out of combat for potentially days at a time, a ship can now refuel, resupply, and rearm all at the same time.  The Navy expects to be able to field the first TRAM systems in 2-3 years.

So the synopsis is this barely visible asteroid (mini moon) is a sign. The Biblical Star.

I have a major problem with something the size of a school bus (and invisible to the naked eye) being significant. Plus that this is the 3rd captured asteroid in the last 20 years.

But that got me thinking about something else that happens all the time - that's also in the news.

So this goes from 10 magnitude, or only visible with binoculars, to 2 magnitude every 80 years or so. That's the same magnitude as Polaris. Last time in 1946. (78 YBP)

Why I like T. CrB as a Prophecy Star. Jacob or Bethlehem.

It's halfway being two always seen stars, Vega and Arcturus. The predicted appearance of T. CrB, when it happens, will be seen either after sunset in The Western Sky, if before mid-November, or BEFORE DAWN in THE EASTERN part of the sky if after mid-November. For a few weeks seen in both, but by late fall it disappears from western sky in the evening. (Based on 33° latitude)

Hypothetically if it waits until Dec 25th to happen it is best visible before dawn due east between 15 and 30° above the horizon depending on time.

I think the TikTok kids jumped the gun.

This is speculation, but it lines up with the (disputed) late autumn birth of Christ. It's just hard to find accounts of it before 1217 CE.

*At 80 year increments it makes 17 CE the closest date propecy-wise. But with the ±5 years it could line up, with thousands of years of occurrences not noted.

Plus this supernovae seems to follow along with major Middle-East events. Even the 1217 occurrence lines up with one of the crusades.

I'm wondering what the major news will be the day this supernovae becomes visible again.
