We are treating election day like a blizzard is coming.
Going to the grocery store and getting extra stuff to last a week or two.
Bottled water from Target good for a week or two.

I think it's smart to be prepp'd up for election day.
You never know how this thing is going to go.

I'd say everyone should be prepp'd for disruptions for a few days,

For example ....

A few years back I dreamed that the demon of death walked into my dream and approached me.   Just like you see in cartoons .... an entity in the black cape and hood.   I instantly knew it was death.  I instantly knew it's name was 'The Great Equalizer'.   And I instantly was frozen to my very soul with terror.   I'm an American so I have a bit of the 'all American' attitude that if someone/something threatens you, you get in their face and beat the crap out of them (or shoot them).   But this thing glided up to me in my dream and I couldn't move or think .. it was pure terror to my very soul.   I've never felt that before or since.  When I woke up I was sure that it was an actual visitation ... spirits can get into dreams.  You are in an altered state of consciousness during them.

Another example ...

Many years ago ... 10 or 15? ... I was dreaming that I was on an airplane.  I was in an aisle seat.  It was night time.  There was a thunder storm going on outside the plane.   I could feel every one of the dozens of passengers feellings at the same time that I could feel my own.  All of them were scared.  I felt them separately from my own feelings but could still feel them.  Then lightening hit the wing of the plane and the plane started to fall.   I felt every one of them know they were about to die and I felt their terror, while still maintaining my separate identity from them.  A women a few rows up was turning around in  her seat to look at everyone and she saw me and her eyes froze on mine.  She was shocked to see me while at the same time she was terrorized at the knowledge she was about to die.  She knew I wasn't supposed to be there ... like I was a ghost or something.    When I woke up in the morning I turned on the TV to watch the news as usual and they reported that a plane had crashed in the night .. somewhere in the South East USA I believe ... and all on board were killed and that they were blaming a lightening strike on the plane for the crash.

I know this was discussed recently but is it going to get fixed? It’s extremely annoying when wanting to post to different people and it shows up in the post you just made. I’m having a hard time understanding how that’s even happening when I’m directing a post to 2 different individual people. It’s happened to me a few times and I have no idea why. A hurricane so small that it could not be observed by satellite formed this weekend, surprising meteorologists and even forecasters at the National Hurricane Center.

Hurricane Oscar developed on Saturday near Turks and Caicos, and to the northeast of Cuba, in the extreme southwestern Atlantic Ocean. As of Saturday evening, hurricane-force winds extended just 5 miles (8 km) from the center of the storm.

This is not the smallest tropical cyclone—as defined by sustained winds greater than 39 mph, or 63 kph—as that record remains held by Tropical Storm Marco back in 2008. However, this may possibly be the smallest hurricane in terms of the extent of its hurricane-force winds.

It's so small that apparently our satellite technology could not detect it... no one saw it coming.

It had been discovered because a flight happened to fly close enough to see it, and this story was born.

Oscar's development shocked forecasters. There was only a modest indication from satellite imagery, as of Friday, that anything would form; and none of the major global models indicated development of any kind. It was thought that the area of low pressure would get swamped by vertical wind shear this weekend as it neared Cuba.

However, the tiny size of Oscar confounded those expectations. Weather models struggle with the development of small hurricanes, and this is largely because the micro-physics of the smallest storms occur below the resolution of these models. Additionally, tiny hurricanes organize much more quickly and efficiently.

Cuba, and the Bahamas should feel the effects early this week...

The first of three RAF E7 AEW Mk1 Wedgetail aircraft made its first flight after going through paint. The aircraft was quickly spotted after having her markings added, and the tail flash was noticed to be painted on the wrong way. Hopefully it will go back to paint before acceptance by the RAF.

The RAF initially ordered five airframes, but cut that down to three. I'm so sick of this debate.  It's not even a "debate" really, it's more of a liberal echo chamber on the subject.

Look, I've been a firearms instructor for over 30 years, and I can prove to any interested person that a firearm canNOT kill another human being on its own.  I can prove it!  Throw it on the floor, bounce it off a wall, drop it out of a vehicle...it will NOT fire on its own.  It will NOT FIRE!  The only way to make a modern firearm fire is by pulling the trigger, and a person has to do this...intentionally, consciously.  No exceptions.

Oh sure, you can come up with some cocked up thing about something catching the trigger, but please do point me to a single, even just ONE single, fatality or serious injury where this ever happened!  It didn't.  Repeat...IT...DID...NOT...HAPPEN!  Yes, drunk people and people on drugs kill people with firearms, BUT so do these same people with cars, trucks, hammers, knives, bats and even with their hands.  Okay, should we outlaw all those things too (like the UK seemingly tries to do)???  It doesn't work, folks.  The person you have to stop, is the person with "intent".  A firearm has no, ZERO, "intent".  A firearm is just a tool, like a hammer, or a knife, or a car.  Firearms don't think for themselves.

So, c'mon anti-2A people...let's get into it.  You have nothing to defend your "public safety" position other than your notion than...when all guns are illegal, then you can rule over you "slaves" like you've wanted to since Lincoln made slavery illegal.  It's about "control" for you.

So, let's get it on!  Bring it!  Explain your position.

Oh, and NO, Australia is not a good example, despite everyone looking to it for their last grasp.  I love Australia, and one of the things I love about it is Australian independence.  The gun ban in Australia had little bearing on gun ownership except in the big cities.  In the rural areas, far away from cities, Australians just laughed.  Out of sight, out of mind.  Done.  Break into a rural home in central Australia and find out...'Fuck around, and find out'...as the saying goes.  Good!  Don't ya' think?

This whole "gun" thing isn't about firearms, it's about controlling YOU.  It's about controlling every single thing you do...where you go, what you have, why you have it, and what you're allowed to do. 

How can some of you people not see this?  It's about "Control". 

I don't care if a person doesn't wish to own a firearm.  There's a lot of reasons why this might be a credible reason.  That's okay.

BUT...for those people who are qualified, competent and willing...there should be no reason, under the umbrella of the founding fathers of this once great nation, which should prevent law abiding citizens from owning as many firearms as they wish, including fully automatic weapons (only thing I take issue with Reagan for...fuck the Firearms Act of '86).

Not sure how many people have been following this, but the House has sent a bill to the Senate which would bar new DJI drones from being allowed to fly in the US.  The government alleges DJI (the drone manufacturer) is linked to the Chinese military and is using the technology to secretly spy on the US and its citizens.  The bill calls for DJI to be placed on a list which would, among other things, make it illegal for businesses in the US to do business with DJI citing national security risks.  (link to one such article of the latest status below).

I personally see this as a veiled attempt by the US government to significantly restrict the use of drones in the US, period.  Once they get DJI on the list (DJI manufactures roughly 70% of all drones in the US) it will only be a matter of time before they ban all drone companies as the vast majority of drones are manufactured in China.

Years ago approx 6-7, I heard a trumpet/horn sound while at work on a playground. One other student heard it too as we both ducked. Nobody else seemed to notice.

Early this year I saw a ghost plane heading for my parking lot during a bad winter storm, it flashed one after the other bright lights, white, green, green, white.

This Sunday on my way to work, I spot a black horse running up the road, I hit the brakes to avoid hitting it and turn to look where the horse went and it was gone.
