MSNBC Caught on Tape Admits Pushing Harris and Says It Made Viewers Dumber
#1
Not sure if this is 'media' conspiracy here .... or 'politics' conspiracy over at the new forum.
I"m going with media  here ...

MSNBC producer caught on tape saying that the network was doing all it could to help Harris win.   Also said that they were making the viewers dumber by what they were doing.

MSNBC Caught on Tape Admits Pushing Harris and Says It Made Viewers Dumber

Quote:MSNBC producer Basel Hamdan, in a hidden camera interview, claims the network closely aligns with Kamala Harris's campaign, lacking journalistic independence. In a shocking undercover investigation led by the O'Keefe Media Group, a producer claiming to work for MSNBC has been recorded admitting the network’s strong bias in favor of Kamala Harris. Basel Hamdan, a writer, and producer for the MSNBC show Ayman, revealed during a hidden camera interview that the network is actively aligning its messaging with that of Harris's campaign, making it clear that they are “doing all they can to help” her get elected.

"The type of people who work in Democratic politics and in the campaign are often the same type of people who appear on air at MSNBC," Hamdan told the undercover journalist during their conversation in a restaurant setting. “It reinforces the point I'm making: this news network is indistinguishable from the party.”

In the video, Hamdan criticises the network for being "very partisan Democrat," stating that it is "aligned too closely" with the Democratic Party and would benefit more by acting independently. He argues that the alleged left-leaning bias has negatively impacted its audience, making them "dumber" by pushing misinformation to fit its progressive agenda.

Not sure why FOX and Liberty Daily and New York Post etc aren't picking it up.

I suppose the other media outlets not reporting on this much is something akin to "There, but for the grace of God, go I."    Lol

Seriously though, one of the problems with this stuff is that it is "ambush" journalism...  because of it's nature, it is difficult to not associate it with trickery and deceit.

People will say a lot of stupid and strange things when they are inclined to appear 'expository' and wanting to entice good will (or something else.)   They boast and brag, they embellish stories and might say anything to curry favor with the listener of the moment.

Which is not to say that this report contains falsehoods... it simply confirms what is blatantly obvious to most people who would rather their news features actual journalism, rather than activism or partisanship.

I think this actually does belongs in a debate about media, more than one about politics.

This crap is always expected in politics (ho hum) but in media it demonstrates just how useless they have chosen to be.
No longer devoted to informing the public, they opt to 'convince' through cunningly crafted programming and other social engineering tactics... just as the ruling party/government wishes.
It's a shame that.

Does everyone realize that CBS 60 Minutes actually deleted one of Kamala Harris's bad "word salad" interview answers and replaced it with a better answer?

Hmm, let's see...
  • "Of course they're biased, everyone know that!"
  • "Well Fox News is just the same, O'Keefe never mentions that though!"
  • "This is edited and taken out of context."
  • "LOL did O'Keefe wear a dress for another gotcha honeytrap?"
  • "Sure is convenient that this is being released in October."
  • "In Russia or China you can't even have competing news organizations!"
  • "Who is this O'Keefe guy? Never heard of him."
  • "Grifter. Just looking for money."
  • "Only Boomers still watch TV News."
Did I miss any?

Quote:The moment we no longer have a free press, anything can happen. What makes it possible for a totalitarian or any other dictatorship to rule is that people are not informed; how can you have an opinion if you are not informed? If everybody always lies to you, the consequence is not that you believe the lies, but rather that nobody believes anything any longer. This is because lies, by their very nature, have to be changed, and a lying government has constantly to rewrite its own history. On the receiving end you get not only one lie—a lie which you could go on for the rest of your days—but you get a great number of lies, depending on how the political wind blows. And a people that no longer can believe anything cannot make up its mind. It is deprived not only of its capacity to act but also of its capacity to think and to judge. And with such a people you can then do what you please.

Quote:A mixture of gullibility and cynicism had been an outstanding characteristic of mob mentality before it became an everyday phenomenon of masses. In an ever-changing, incomprehensible world the masses had reached the point where they would, at the same time, believe everything and nothing, think that everything was possible and that nothing was true. The mixture in itself was remarkable enough, because it spelled the end of the illusion that gullibility was a weakness of unsuspecting primitive souls and cynicism the vice of superior and refined minds. Mass propaganda discovered that its audience was ready at all times to believe the worst, no matter how absurd, and did not particularly object to being deceived because it held every statement to be a lie anyhow. The totalitarian mass leaders based their propaganda on the correct psychological assumption that, under such conditions, one could make people believe the most fantastic statements one day, and trust that if the next day they were given irrefutable proof of their falsehood, they would take refuge in cynicism; instead of deserting the leaders who had lied to them, they would protest that they had known all along that the statement was a lie and would admire the leaders for their superior tactical cleverness.

It's from chapter 11. Pretty late in the book.

O'Keefe Media Group

Might be the source. O'Keefe Media has a tendency to just make shit up, as opposed to taking it out of context. Hindustan times being the first repost doesn't help either, Indian tabloids actually have lower credibility than western ones like The NY Post.

But what can media do on this one? MSNBC is invalid this time around.

I look up "presidential polls," and I get left mainstream rose colored glasses, denial even. No panic button. The 10/11 guy is about to go 10/12, so they might want to stop bringing him up. Polls show Harris only when you keep using NY Times/Sienna. She's lost every battleground state since The VP debate. And two back-to-back hurricanes Katrina'd her chances. The democrats have 3 weeks to pull a rabbit out of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. She'll need about 100,000 rabbits total. Apparently they've done it before.

I'm just wondering what coping protest I'll go to. The general anger we lost/all purpose liberal protest on Nov 6th, the "He is a criminal" one on the 26th, or the bleeding heart closed border protest on Jan 21st?

Probably just willfully ignore what Trump's administration does until they were only joking about state's rights and it effects me personally. It would be really exhausting otherwise.

But there will be many opportunities for protest coming in the next few years.
