No, that's not what I believe. Honestly I think....well I hope....it's just threatening rhetoric to get Iran to submit and agree to a deal. On the other hand...One can't be sure with this guy. He likes deception and keeping people guessing.

I think nuking a country absolutely no one was talking about as a real threat over a year ago is perfectly sane and measured.
It’s a good plan, we’ve already used up a bunch of interceptors and advanced munitions. Then we just piss off the whole world and hope for the best.
But some people on the internet will feel really masculine since they took a really hard stance on the biggest threat to America, Iran.

ETA: Now that I think about it, makes me wonder if the firing of all the brass lately might have something to do with this. It might not have been just over a ground war...They could have refused to nuke Iran.

I do wonder if the military might refuse to obey orders to target civilian infrastructure though.

Looks like they can be Iraqified good and proper, don't forget to keep supplying the Arab and Kurdish minorities over there with weapons to help self implode whatever is left of the nation currently called Iran. They, who is they… like all of them? I find that really hard to believe. Many Iranians had a candle light vigil in Tehran in solidarity with the US after 9/11.
People are nuanced, they all didn’t hate the US and agree with their government just like not everyone here supports our admin and our actions.
We’re seeing Neocons recycle the same thing as Iraq “you don’t want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud”.
Yet, a vast majority of wars post WWII were proven to be bullshit and constructed by elites for agendas outside of the normal Americans. We don’t profit when we war for oil, we don’t have a higher standard of living after these wars, usually the opposite.
