Apparently, Iran, a combined theocracy and democracy, have stood on their own feet far too well for US interests.
Iran and the US have been at war for decades. Here’s how it began
But let me use an analogy,
In a football game, if a team just walk off the field before the end of the match, haven't they just forfeited the game and therefore their opponents get awarded the victory?
If a military force withdraws, leaving their opponents in power, then that military force have lost.
You keep naming times when America only showed up to help, where the hell were you when shit hit the fan? This conflict was between Iran and Iraq not America.
The primary U.S. goal was to keep the Persian Gulf open so global oil supplies would not be cut off. By the time the war ended in 1988, shipping lanes were secure, and the oil trade was flowing safely. The U.S. achieved its objective.
Stop trying to hit America and hit it

Stop trying to hit America and hit it
You're bringing up the 80s like modern warfare froze in time.
Back then Iran barely had the capability to threaten shipping beyond mines and speedboats.
Now?
Drone warfare exists...
Anti-ship ballistic missiles exist...
And Iran has spent decades building systems specifically designed to hit carriers, tankers, and Gulf infrastructure from hundreds of miles away.
America "kept the lanes open" because Iraq and Iran were exhausted and primitive compared to today.
That doesn't prove invulnerability, it proves the battlefields changed.
Stop flexing Cold War examples like they automatically apply in 2026.
You sound like someone arguing modern air combat with Vietnam stats.
Absolute clown shoes.

But this is getting out of hand, and i know im ranting.
It's not really at anyone in particular other than the situation...
Not pissed off, just that the world is a different place, full of Captain Dumbasses these days.
And some of them are in control...
But rant over...
