I think all sides are going to try to manipulate the narrative and Russia being Iran's 'friend', are going to help spread the disinformation. Other than falling out of open widows, it's one thing Russia does well.

Russia being Iran's 'friend'

"It's complicated" - for instance 20% of Israelis speak Russian... The International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) goes a long way to explain Russian "friendship" with Iran. Russia IMO is pretty pragmatic as to who rules Iran as long as Iran stays pragmatic in their relations to Russia.
