If you read what Zelensky is saying, he is still asking for Putin to make concessions. How do you think that will go?
I don't think there will be any concessions by Russia unless you count agreeing to a ceasefire.

Then it is Russia who does not want peace.

Vance has massively insulted troops from "random countries" ie the UK.
The US Vice President Vance insuted British troops when he dismissed the UK as "some random country that hasn't fought a war in 30 years".
Some 630 British soldiers died fighting alongside the United States in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Even Prince Harry fought in Afghanistan.
Disrespecting the men and women who fought alongside Americans in Afghanistan and Iraq and who died or were horribly injured.
Talk about disrespectful and ungrateful!
What a hateful PoS.

From his statement
Quote:We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same.
This will happen in stages, I'd imagine Putin will want to make Zelensky squirm a bit if not a lot probably with Trump's blessing.
Im not sure which of the proposals Putin values most, word has it Zelensky wants a truce in the sky and at sea, supposedly a ship carrying weapons attacked in the Black Sea that had to hurt, along with Trump stopping aid.
First Im watching what the Russians do militarily do they fortify their positions or do they try and grab more territory? to give back later is a possibility. maybe starting with prisoner release and banning bombs on energy and civilian structures
FWIW This might be a delaying tactic for Ukraine till they can negotiate from a stronger position, but I expect a spasm of engagements before we even get to the talks.

He knows not what he does or something. I think that works.
He's copying the new guru of what is acceptable state level behavior towards anything not us.
Remember, in the new America the rule of thumb for the New GOP is "What Would Donald Do? WWDD! What does Trump make acceptable decorum for other state level politicians? How do I act like him? How do I please him most?
Vance was bought in to be a brainless extention of the autocrat king. He was chosen for being the opposite of Mike Pence integrity-wise. He needs outspoken flipflopping populists like himself.
That way, they have all the appearance of integrity and directness, without actually having to be or do either.

I think they do, if only because they are bleeding their population dry just as much as Ukraine, not to mention the sanctions have to hurt, if only eventually.
You have to look at it from a Russian point of view, that the disputed oblasts in the East, were shelled by Kiev and Russian was outlawed to be spoken, and local Russian speakers were beat up before any invasion by Russia began. They held referendums and voted to be part of Russia, after all the abuse.
This was essentially a civil war that in Russia's eyes, they were protecting ethnic Russians.
I am sure they see it like the Germans saw Strasbourg, they were liberating local German speakers who were being 'put down' by the French in the 40s. Same story in Silesia vs Poland and Bohemia vs Czechs. Is it correct? They probably think so.
So I am sure that in their eyes, Ukraine's actions gave away those territories long ago, so no need for territorial concession.
Just playing devils advocate.

With that theory of Russia believing it's civil war and saving it's Russian-speaking citizens, no wonder Putin is stating that he wants to "FREE" all the countries surrounding Iran. How many Russian-speaking people are in Poland, etc.?

Let's not forget the video of a Senate staffer's butt play in the Capitol Building...cocaine found at the White House, Trans boob flash at a White House lawn event
Not even going to pile on Biiden and Harris' antics.
We lost the integrity of our government a long time ago probably before 2001 but certainly after it.
PS
There's a time and a place butt in Congress and the White House?
