Well that's just cynical. By that measure, "the bank" would be most pleased with the exciting dance of money that would result from a post-war government collapse in what's left of Ukraine, with all the intricate economic opportunism that the chaos of civil war could allow. You'd have to be a monster to want that, though.

Have you ever actually watched/listened to the BBC?
They take a lot of effort to verify news these days.

But you seem to be brainwashed against them.

I can only guess whichever your source for "news" might be.
I now know why I am called a grown up. Every time I get up I groan.

That's a frustrating aspect which we must all labor to mitigate one way or another, lest we be led astray from understanding.

I can't possibly follow all the panoply of different versions of what others call "mainstream," or "legacy," or simply "the big one;"... they mostly seem driven to harmony with whomever can strangle their revenue. Governments can (and does,) commerce can (and does,) "The Bank" always did.

Political absurdities aside, the media is mostly abused through "journalistic" editorialization.  Too many "products" of the industry of "news media" are 'given' press statements and used as if it were 'journalism,' too many governments tell media what to say... and if you don't dispute that, why would you think that level of 'service' is only extended to governments, and not globe-spanning empires of finance and business?

"Press-release" news was not something we would tolerate in bygone days when dinosaurs ruled the Earth.

In the UK I expect you get a pretty consistent view of what everyone thinks via the media?
We don't here in the States.
Each side runs interference on each other in hateful and childish ways... they made an industry of it.

You bet I have, and they only did it to themselves.

Having been raised in Europe (Holland and Germany) and married to a Portuguese woman, and still with many friends in 'Northern Europe' and going back and forth most years to visit family, I can tell you that in my observation the news in Europe since 2000 or thereabouts has gotten steadily coopted by Big Brother by way of the EU, to only showing the most Globalist-friendly, Progressive and left leaning propaganda.   So much so that if you are on a steady diet of MSM in Europe you are hopelessly lopsided and emotional.
You can see the results in some of the posting here: everything Trump does is automatically terrible, Putin is so evil as to be frankly Hitler, Climate Change is all man-made, China is not that bad, mass immigration and open borders are always wonderful, anything less is racist and intolerant, etc etc.

Zelenskyy knows that Trump won't be paying billions into the Ukraine economy anymore.   American taxpayers have been paying to keep the Ukraine economy from collapsing, even paying Ukraine government pensions.   That's gotta' stop.

Russia will get to keep the land that they illegally stole from Ukraine.   They'll get away with the slaughter of Ukrainian civilians that they did.   And they'll get to keep the thousands of Ukrainian children that they have kidnapped.   It'd disgusting, but that's the way it's going to go.

Russia will get that in exchange for promising not to illegally invade anyone else.   That's the 'deal' that's coming down ... betchya.

Ukraine is/was the breadbasket of Europe. It had a strong economy as a sovereign state.

The reason Russia wants Ukraine, is because of its resources and the wealth they convey.

The reason for the Maidan protests against Russia was the perception that Russia was siphoning of the wealth of Ukraine into the pockets of Russian oligarchs and the bellies of Russian citizens and was not compensating Ukraine adequately.

How could Trump "give it to him"? Ukraine is not a vassal of the US.

All Trump is going to prove is that he has less political and economic power than Putin does and has totally capitulated to Russian aggressive militarism and political propaganda.

Russia attacked a peaceful and prosperous sovereign country.

Additionally, Ukraine must be included in any agreement or no deal.

I thought Denyignorance was supposed to do away from politics but here we go...CNN leach made it here.
I will try to explain once more. Imagine an American settlement- province in Mexico close to US boarder. Mexicans with the help of China and Russia aiming at US start to shell for 8 years those regions provoking US to respond. Elections did not include those regions when Poroshenko came into power. What US would do to save dear americans who have happened to be born and raised in those regions? The answer is simple. US would obliterate Mexico.
Now you are telling this cnn msn bull claiming the war was an invasion and illegal?
This tells me you have no idea, too lazy to dig into the origins of conflict, followed the globalist narrative and I bet with your response you will cite more cnn and msn crap.

cheers) just stop it.
