As we're upto page 6 now, I'd thought I'd add another great movie that seemed to slip under the rader back in the day. It's in my top 5 best horror films along with what I've already posted.
Drum roll...... I give you..... "Denial is a common tactic that substitutes deliberate ignorance for thoughtful planning."

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned these three:
The trailers for Saw and Hostel really don't do the movies justice. Both are absolutely gut wrenching. All three have sequels.

These are all good, if not great horror films; I guarantee:
Possession A Tale of Two SistersOriginal title: Janghwa, Hongryeon A Dark Song Don't Look Now (08-08-2024, 12:13 AM)l0st Wrote: I'm surprised nobody has mentioned these three: Hostel was good. Along the lines of that slasher/weird people vibe, i think Vacancy was really good too. Vacancy I will second the recco for Let the Right One In, just bought that one. Also have to second the recco (of course) for Alien, and I thought of another one that is really good: Under the Skin

Appreciate those additions mate and do remember watching 'Don't Look Now' decades ago - great call.
Regarding 'Under The Skin' have you read the book? It's a lot different from the film and, although rather disturbing, I thought it was awesome. Here it is on free audiobook: |
