My top ten WORST films
#1
As a counter to 'my top ten films' thread.

My top ten WORST films ....

Cloud Atlas
Son of the Mask
Mickey 17
Elf
Howard the Duck
Johnny Depp version of Willie Wonka
The new Ben Hurr (2016 ?)
Guardians of the Galaxy 3
Blue Lagoon
Return to Blue Lagoon

That being said.
Some movies are bad but that's what makes them good.
But these have no redeeming quality whatsoever.

My friend...

of all the lists, in all the forums... this is one that I can only list the pinnacle...

(all others feature enough niche interest, tiny editorial, directorial, or performance successes to have some notional redeeming value... even if only in the imaginings of the producers...)

But my number one.... It's so wretchedly bad... it's a work of art.... featuring bizarre editing, poor direction, incomprehensible acting, and liturgical dance-fighting... kind of.

1)  Manos... Hands of Fate.

I can agree with all except Elf, I don't love the movie but I also don't think it is a "worst" movie. Might even be one of those classified as a cult classic

But lets see if I can add any to this list, in no certain order...

Almost any newer Disney remake
Most of the Fast and Furious Franchise after #4
Joe Dirt 2
Entire Sharknado franchise
The Meg
The Meg 2
#4
I love Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Some so bad they've reached cult status  Lol

See .. this is an example of 'so bad that it's good'.
The kind of movies that you watch back to back in the series over a weekend
while eating a ton of chips and cheese cracker snacks ... and lots of WINE.   Lol

My late wife would have enjoyed TV-time with you...

She found the whole "Sharknado" series to be 'worth' binging... just for the cameos.
(I think she was playing mental "cameo bingo" in her head.)

Howard The Duck is just the prequel to Back to the Future and explains how Howard is Marty's real Dad.

Plan 9 from Outer Space
Independence Day 2
The Wraith
Hell Comes to Frogtown
Jaws 4: the Revenge
Whicker Man (the Nicholas Cage one)
Police Academy 4
That's it, losing the will to live now...... Spin
'l'll just check my Giveashitometer....Nope.  Nothing...

Clerks 3 (most depressing 'comedy' I have ever seen)
Breach (Love Bruce, but this turd is completely unacceptable, worse than bad)
Cuties (the exploitation of minors is never a good look)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 ( I swear, every single scene has something woke about it. Its ridiculous)
Christmas Vacation 2 (I have never seen it and I vehemently REFUSE to ruin the original by watching what I heard was a total sh* sandwich made into a sequel.)

That's my top five. I would add 'Ishtar', but that would expose my age and its technically cheating.

Not seen Ishtar and don't want to.

I forgot, Zardoz.  It's a real stinker.
