My top ten films
#1
Citizen Kane (1941)
Distant Voices, Still Lives (1988)
Crossfire (1947)
Henry Fool (1997)
The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) - the truncating of this masterpiece would make an interesting film in itself.
L'Atalante (English: The Passing Barge) (1934) - this was Madonna's favourite film at one point.
The Long Day Closes (1992)
Hate (French: La Haine) (1995)
The Hours and Times (1991)
The Wages of Fear (French: Le Salaire de la peur) (1953)

As you can tell I enjoy drama and the artform of cinema (I use to haunt the long defunct IMDb message boards). I have no interest in action movies or empty special effects. I enjoy realism and humour.

10)Trouble With The Curve

In no particular order, although it can probably be said that the order in which I recalled them has merit.
"Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.   Be kind.  Always".   -  Darielys Tejera/Spc. Douglas Jay Green/Robin Williams

"Pseudoscience, depending for its “truth” on consensus, is deeply hostile to challenge."   - Rael Jean Isaac

No list is complete without "Serenity"
You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people's opinions.

Hombre is certainly one of the greatest westerns.

Along with Alien, Star Wars, Tora Tora Tora, Top Gun, 300, Cleopatra , Spartacus , Conan, The day the Earth stood Still, Planet of the Apes (the original with C. H.), The original Blob, Godzilla, Star Ship Troopers, Forbidden Planet, Many Star Trek story lines, Close encounters of the Third kind, Jurassic Park, Terminator, The original Blade Runner, Matrix, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Mission Impossible, King Kong the original .......

Any movie that changed our language and made us think ...Who ever thought of the Matrix before the movie,  or Godzilla before the Japanese dude in a Rubber suit ?????/   There are many more each with a particular theme that was worth a watch IMO and in some cases changed our perceptions.

Recently noticed my taste for movies has declined significantly since I started watching shows/series a lot. I feel there are so many good series released, compared to movies.

I used to love Lord of the rings for example, but last time I saw it I wasnt as entertained anymore. I noticed the same with the people I was watching with. Who also watch more shows.

And old movies like the Godfather and The good the bad and the ugly felt not that good anymore either. I wouldnt recommend those anymore.

Recent movies; Green book and Dune are really good.

Series/shows;

1. Chernobyl
The wire
The bureau
True detective first season
Fargo first season
Mr Inbetween
Succession
