I've seen a few of Eastwood movies.
Some were gross.
and I'm not into high body count movies.

Ahem.   In Brit speak, "Rogering' means screwing....

Best not watch Where Eagles Dare.  Eastwood's body count of Germans is off the scale....

"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" is one of his best imho.

"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

There are a lot of things 50 plus years old that are outdated now.

Rarely do 60s and 70s movies hold up, especially while looking through 2025 stained glasses

As for early Bond, it's obviously why Austin Powers spy spoofs were so popular. Along with Our Man Flint/James Coburn and the Matt Helm/Dino Martin series, if you really want to see outdated, misogynistic 70s movies.

Quote:
The Bond series has collectively grossed approximately $7.8 billion in unadjusted worldwide box office revenue, making it the fifth-highest-grossing film franchise of all time (behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Spider-Man). When adjusted for inflation to 2022 dollars, this rises to over $19.2 billion for the Eon films alone. Including the two non-Eon Bond films (Casino Royale (1967) and Never Say Never Again (1983)), the inflation-adjusted total exceeds $20 billion.

A more wholesome hero would be Indiana Jones.  I can't think of much else in the way of film franchises.

Well .. one that doesn't hit women, bed them ten minutes later, then bed a co-worker 10 minutes after that and leave her as well, then find the dead body of the one he hit a little while later and not give a hoot.   Kinda trashy hero.
