Going to take the lad to see the new "Superman" movie this evening.
Just wondering what people think of the new format/characters?
Thoughts and opinions, please?

Excellent movie. Antagonists were well done. I think this is just slightly better than the Christopher Reeve Superman and even better than the Henry Cavill version. Rachel Brosnahan and David Corenswet have and excellent chemistry between them. I like that Lois is going out with Clark, rather than being enamoured with Superman. David Corenswet is quite tall, and is said to have gained an incredible 40 lbs. of muscle for the role. That is dedication.
Lex Lutor is properly diabolical and the CGI is amazing. I give it five thumbs up out of five. Really well done, imo.

I would give it a 9.5/10.
Had a few tears in the eye.

That's the measure of a good movie, ain't it? y'got your thrills, your chills, some humour and your heartfelt moments. What could be better? Almost all of the movies that I truly treasure have those four elements.

I was never into Superman, comics, cartoons or live action movies. I've only watched a couple of the movies. I'm just not a fan I guess.
I do remember a parody comic strip of Superman in National Lampoon. Frame one: Lois and Clark are in the office when Lois falls out of an open window. Frame two: Not having time to change into Superman, Clark jumps out the window, swoops down, and takes Lois up into his arms saving her! Safely in his arms, Lois says. "I always knew you were Superman, now I have proof!" In the final frame you see Clark back in the office where Jimmy enters and asks where Lois went. Clark calmly replies "Lois? Oh, she fell out of the window."

It's a good movie.
My dad took me to see Superman II back in the early 80s, think i would have been about 6 or 7.
He's not with us any longer, but good memories.
It was nice to take my own son and share a similar experience.
Costs a fecking arm and a leg through, cinemas not cheap, and neither are the chips. LoL

I've been hearing great reviews from people online and here, so I'll definitely watch it when it becomes available on my streaming channels. I don't care to go to theatres these days for various reasons, mostly the sound is too loud for me.

Sorry, but superhero fatigue is real. I have no desire to watch it (until it becomes available to stream). IMHO nothing will top Christopher Reeve's Superman II. This is another rare example of a sequel being better than the original.
Off topic, but has anyone seen Fantastic Four yet?
