I would just talk to him and tell him you are not interested in him. No use getting him pissed off at you by making an issue at work. Remember, he probably has friends there, and you might wind up regretting it if they see you do anything wrong when you are driving around.
Cops are human you know, guys act a little weird when they are wooing someone, I remember the things I did when I was young, seems kind of stupid now that I am almost seventy. Hope I do not get dementia and revert back to a young age, I will make a fool out of myself again and that will suck.
I knew a dozen or more cops over the years pretty well, and they were decent guys, but sometimes the job attracts people who like power and they get big heads. but if somone is breaking in your house and is armed, would you rather a cop came who would shoot that intruder, or one who waits for a psychologist to try to talk the guy into surrendering? I think I would rather get one that would have the personality to risk his/her life to help us.
Yes, cops like anyone, can be attracted to people, but like most people, a nice little discussion saying your not interested, takes care of the problem. He probably will not bother you anymore, unless more happens, I would not start destroying his career.
I would guess you look pretty decent for him to be wooing you. Still like the word wooing, my mother and aunts used to use that term when discussing and chuckling about others back in the sixties.
Keep your eyes open though, even if you tell him you are not interested, he might still be a stalker. being aware of your surroundings is always good....but even if you see him once in a while, it may just be he kind of likes you, he may not be a threat...just be cautious but not obsessed and paranoid. I don;t know your or his age either, so I will just say that the decision is yours, you have to make the final choice and I won't judge you no matter what you do.
