Why are people so weird?
#21
I would just talk to him and tell him you are not interested in him.  No use getting him pissed off at you by making an issue at work.  Remember, he probably has friends there, and you might wind up regretting it if they see you do anything wrong when you are driving around.

Cops are human you know, guys act a little weird when they are wooing someone, I remember the things I did when I was young, seems kind of stupid now that I am almost seventy.  Hope I do not get dementia and revert back to a young age, I will make a fool out of myself again and that will suck. Lol

I knew a dozen or more cops over the years pretty well, and they were decent guys, but sometimes the job attracts people who like power and they get big heads.  but if somone is breaking in your house and is armed, would you rather a cop came who would shoot that intruder, or one who waits for a psychologist to try to talk the guy into surrendering?  I think I would rather get one that would have the personality to risk his/her life to help us.

Yes, cops like anyone, can be attracted to people, but like most people, a nice little discussion saying your not interested, takes care of the problem.  He probably will not bother you anymore, unless more happens, I would not start destroying his career.

I would guess you look pretty decent for him to be wooing you.  Still like the word wooing, my mother and aunts used to use that term when discussing and chuckling about others back in the sixties.

Keep your eyes open though, even if you tell him you are not interested, he might still be a stalker.  being aware of your surroundings is always good....but even if you see him once in a while, it may just be he kind of likes you, he may not be a threat...just be cautious but not obsessed and paranoid.  I don;t know your or his age either, so I will just say that the decision is yours, you have to make the final choice and I won't judge you no matter what you do.

I think that would be a good idea, never even thought of that being an issue.  Once in a while I google my name and find there is only one other person in the USA with my name...and he is also in the construction business but on the other side of the country.  At least I have an uncommon name....not many rickymouses out there. Lol

She was telling me how she is the devil if she forgets to take her meds and how her eyes turn red.

I told her I had to go check my teeth in the bathroom and I ran out the door.

You never know. This cop has a red flag already! I say he is a stalker.

Granted he has exhibited two red flags so far, that being, invading her privacy by finding her address (just how easy is that to do for an average person?), and then leaving her an expensive gift early at her front door early on in the dating game, while she is away vacationing from her home, which is suppose to be a kind of love bombing or indication that he wants her to know that he wants her to keep holding on to whatever they got going on.

The question that I have   - Does him being a cop make these red flags become explainable behaviours because of his negative job experiences, which can lead to trust issues with people he does not know? Or maybe he is misguided in thinking that that type of attention/behaviour exhibits his continued interest, or more interest in their continuing their dating and for her to hold on to it (?) After all, her single cat owning girlfriends thought it was a sweet gesture, but was it really?

Love bombing:

"You might respond by… first expressing your discomfort with the attention or gifts being given to you. Be honest about your own wish to form an attachment (or not) and explain that the relationship is moving faster than you’d like. Discuss boundaries that you’re comfortable with. If the love-bombing persists and boundaries are not respected, it is probably best to part ways."

Well, "leaving" a gift behind for you is completely impotent and manic. A gift is about the moment, not the thing.

On the other hand, I am 100% available and ready to party.

Sexy as hell but I have a question since I can't tell from the photo and dudes are out here catfishing...........how tall are you? Because I only like extremely short guys. Like 5'3" and under so if you're one of these dudes that looks like they're walking around with a set of stilts in their pants, no thanks.
