Is it weird to not have a social media presence

I picked up that it's considered odd for someone not to have social media presence? Why is that?

Because the FBI, CIA, NSA, want to know what you are thinking... Therefore everyone needs to voice their opinions so people can be placed into a certain groups of right or left subversives .  Plus the advertisers are happy for you to be someplace where you are exposed to the Ads.

For the longest time (years ago now), people I knew from my hometown and went to grade/high school with I’d run into from time to time.

They’d be like, “Why aren’t we friends on FaceBook?” I’d reply I ain’t got one.

Then I’d ask if they wanted to get my number so we could catch up, they’d be like “nah”.

I've noticed over the years that some of my friends get a little frustrated because I don't do Facebook, X, Instagram or any other social media. They seem to think I'm anti technology or don't want to see pictures of their grand kids or where they went on vacation....and they're right. Not about the anti technology, I just don't see the need to put my life on display for strangers. Some of them are just weird.

I hang out on Conspiracy sites with all the normal people.

Yeah, but ARE we "normal" ?

I question pretty much everything and it seems natural to me. Is that trust issues { probably } or is it just a ingrained sense of wanting to get to the bottom of things. Take UFOs for example. I don't believe 99.99% of the stories I hear from the "professionals" because they're out to make a name for themselves and there's always $$$ attached. 

Government "disclosure" is just a joke. There's one tiny bit of truth, about the size of a grain of sand, covered by 5 tons of bullshit.

Facebook is even worse. You see a couple posting about their vacation and what a happy home life they have, still in love after all these years and we all know they're one burnt biscuit away from a divorce in real life. I don't know who they think they're fooling 'cause I just saw Bill at Wal Mart and he was telling me what a raging bitch she is.

Normal now is not the same as it used to be.

Im apt to ponder what's normal, or considered to be such, may be a generational affair.
