Sweeing generalisations lol? The next time a plane gets hijacked and rammed into a Twin Towers building, the next time the opera theatre is attacked and the participants shot dead, the next time the buses get blown up, the next time the farm gets invaded and the babies decapitated heads are stacked up in pyramid formations, the next time the train gets attacked and the travellers are eliminated with AK47's, the next time a kids concert is attacked and the yound girls get murdered, the next time a religious centre is attacked and the locals are murdered for practicing their religion, the next time a school is attacked, bombs rigged up and the young children massacred, etc etc etc, and another thousand etc's, I'm going with a very strong presumption the attackers aren't going to be identified as Eskimos, Sikhs, or Rastafarians. The attackers will be muslims, and you know it. Having muslims slowly take over your nation is an insane idea at the very least. Mass cultural suicide in addition to theft of our nation built up by our ancestors who will be turning in their graves with what's happening right now. Total insanity has taken hold of our world.

I think the Red Sea showed some things are easier said than done. We’re saying it would just be easy for them to go and take it, but the reality could prove to be different.

They’d also have to weigh the cost of that vs paying the 3 million or whatever it is per ship. 

I don’t think anyone knows which answer would be more cost effective or risk adverse. But they weren’t really in the fold for the planning, and were just as surprised by many. Some were told not to join then we asked them to join. It’s just an imperfect situation.

Suez. Yes  totally agree on that. We were stabbed there by both Yank and Russians alike. Saying that we never got involved in Vietnam. But those incidents were a very long time ago. We had our own industries back then that could create, nukes, planes, ships, we could create tech without the help of the Yanks. now we are totally dependent on them for planes, missiles, etc. We do not have the capability to go on  our own and follow an independent military policy without the yanks supplying us. We are not independent when it comes to defence and rely on America more than ever. We are tied into them, I just hope they don't bget nasty and cut us free due to Starmer's lack of help, as without the Yanks we are going to be in the military class of Zimbabwe. We can't develop modern weaponry that competes on the wolrd stage. We just don't have the finance to do it. Britain is effectively living on life support through insane debt. We can't do it on our own, we can't do it without the Yanks pure and simple.

Though you make some good points. You again seem to be missing quite a few key facts.
Since the 70's both labour and conservative Prime Minister's destroyed British manufacturing, with Maggie doing the biggest damage buy selling off what ever was left to the highest bidder who then stripped and sold off those businesses. Bad decisions made on replacement military equipment like aircraft and ships during those years has also had a lasting effect on Britain's ability to build and replace outdated military technology. Since Thatcher and Reagan's war against communism and her reliance on the U.S. and NATO, Britain became more of a bit player in a larger group. 

Saying that, we still have a lot of manufacturing industry in things like the F35 that help keep the industries we have left on a pretty healthy footing. Then we have future development of things like Tempest on the horizon, and though small, our ship building is still one of the best in the world.  We're slowly finally moving forward on rebuilding our military.

After all of that and on topic, I still think that Trumps tantrums and sh*t talking has only added to the reasons why so many Europeans including Britain, feel unwilling to support an illegal war with Iran. As the saying goes, The man couldn't organise a p*ss up in a brewery. This war has been poorly organised and poorly managed.
