Trump says he bombed Iran

“Iran has all the cards”
Honk honk

I don’t remember a moment in recent history where Irans Air Force or navy were considered formidable. It was always closing the strait and their missiles that made them an issue.

I don’t think anyone in this thread has ever implied that Iran is going to “win”. Many do realize that everyone can lose though.

Why is closing the Hormuz an issue?
I’m being told unblocking the Hormuz is only a Middle East issue.

Because closing the Strait of Hormuz isn't just a Middle East issue.

It's a global one.

That Trump created.

Over 20% of the world's oil passes through that strait.

Destabilising the area wreaks havoc on economies.

And affects supply chains worldwide.

That's why.

General Douglas Macgregor has a deep dive strategy discussion on the war itself with Daniel Davis, and the logistics of the ground incursion, which does not bode well for anyone who tries, the USA included.

This video has images that made it out of one of our E3 Sentries having been put out of commission on the ground. Allegedly six strato-tankers were also struck, destroying three damaging three others. Thats quite an expensive failure there.

America did supply Sidewinder missiles for our Harriers.

And even the pilots will tell it to you.

They played a crucial role where air superiority was concerned...

Interesting. So you are admitting to being wrong about everything you've said about Europe.

I stand corrected, thank you.
But we didn't "ask for help" as Carpy implied.
We paid for those missiles, so there is that.
