So, where is the real evidence of any threat to the Continental US?
Just Trump's feels, or what?

"I wonder if this guy Joe Kent was about to be fired but quickly resigned first. That's how these things typically work. He's part of that radical isolationist Woke Right cabal. Watch how the leftwing media use him to attack the president and the military campaign against Iran. In part, that's why he wrote that letter. I wonder if he was one of the leakers in the administration. Just asking questions."

Only because they have been spoon-fed racist rhetoric.
And point of fact, there are far more Iranians in the United States than in the United Kingdom, London included.

It's not good when your counterterrorism director quits with a dig at the war with Iran.

Quote:Major blow for Donald Trump as top terror official quits with stinging message on Iran warThe surprise departure will be seen as a sign of cracks appearing in Trump's MAGA base, with many prominent right-wing figures heavily criticising Trump's bombing of IranDonald Trump's top counterterrorism official dramatically quit today - taking a devastating swipe at the US President's war in Iran.
Joe Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Centre, said he was resigning because he "cannot in good conscience" back the administration's war in the Middle East - saying Iran "posed no imminent threat to our nation."
In a post on social media, he said: "It is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.”
His resignation will be seen as a sign of cracks appearing in Trump's MAGA base, with many prominent right-wing figures heavily criticising Trump's bombing of Iran.
Minutes after Kent announced his resignation, Trump posted an unhinged rant on his Truth Social platform, lashing out at Nato allies who have refused to send ships to help in the Middle East.

Even worse that a whole campaign has been started to smear him. He’s a veteran and a Gold Star Husband, lost his wife in Syria to ISIS.
He reported to Tulsi, who had shirts made when she ran for president “No War In Iran”. So I don’t think anyone should be surprised this sentiment exists.

I think the problem is that the Trump administration may have chosen to disregard the majority of their own intelligence agencies' feelings and findings regarding war with the Iranians.
I mean, there is a reason the past seven POTUS chose to stay out of direct conflict with Iran...
Trump's apt to simply have the fella replaced with another sniveling sycophant.
Sad and dangerous times, really.

The US had a huge influx from the downfall of the Shah but it's established, integrated, and mostly pro-US.
Quote:The Iranian American community largely opposes the Islamic Republic (similar to diaspora trends overall). A 2020 PAAIA/Zogby poll found 53% supported the US backing Reza Pahlavi as a legitimate opposition figure (with 32% opposed). Many Iranian Americans favor secular democracy or regime change, and vocal pro-monarchy elements exist (especially in areas like Los Angeles with large "Persian" exile communities nostalgic for pre-1979 Iran). However, there's no majority consensus for monarchy restoration specifically—preferences often lean toward democracy without a king. Recent polls (e.g., NIAC-YouGov in 2025) focus more on US politics, sanctions, or diplomacy rather than direct monarchy support.
In short, a significant portion (likely a plurality or more in activist/exile circles) leans "pro-Shah" or pro-monarchy in the sense of opposing the current regime and favoring figures like Reza Pahlavi, but the community isn't neatly divided into "pro-Shah Persians" vs. "Muslim Iranians." Many Muslims in the community are also anti-regime, and secular/non-Muslim identities are common. Views are fragmented, with strong anti-Islamic Republic sentiment overall.

Cool story, but it doesn't change the demographics.
Additionally, I imagine the majority of people of the Iranian persuasion, or their descendants, who hail from London have also chosen to integrate, just as in your own nation.
In short, silly, derogatory, borderline racist names for the Capital of the UK are not really the topic of the thread, which we should probably return to.
