Negotiations at this point in time, to me, seem doomed to failure, unless Russia can come out of this economically unscathed if he agrees to a complete ceasefire and peace.
As long as they are talking, and seemingly ratcheting down hostilities on certain line items.
I was listening about the negotiations on an X space and one commenter suggested Trump will hand Putin through his worldwide contacts major contracts on Russian imports and exports, hopefully enough to get Putin to cede atleast Donbas and Luhansk. If not they will try and set up Zelensky and Ukraine with contracts to offset the loss of territory .
Also mentioned talks about a 10-mile DMZ, particularly on the eastern border

I just don't see Putin giving up anything considering he has always wanted to 'free' all the other countries surrounding Iran. Will Putin just give up all his desires of expansion and conquering the free world or will he come to the reality that he has no choice because his military hasn't nor ever will accomplish it's main goal of taking all of Ukraine and he now needs a 'saving face' way of getting out of this war?

That is why I was curious. At least as of 5 months ago they were doing very well. Would be interesting to find an even more recent report.

This is good news, but what I wonder is, you read Russia and USA agree to no bombing of energy infrastructure, but Ukraine recently bombed Russian oil facilities, which is energy, so will Ukraine agree?

Right or wrong I rarely take Putin's public words as anything but opening salvos to negotiations, of course, he is going to say he wants to free Iran's neighbors Iran is a major customer of Russia. Saying and doing aren't always hand in hand
Which country is he going to "free"
Afghanistan? LOL, they are better equipped now than they were in the 80s and the USSR couldn't take them then.
Iraq? unlikely
Pakistan? is even less likely
Turkey? No way
Azerbaijan? would seemingly be the only country potentially ripe for Putin's "freeing" process

What nobody is talking about is Russia sending drones into densely populated areas (yesterday afternoon) with the first drone breaking into people's homes via their windows, and a second drone entering their living space and shooting at them, including children. Check out Russian drone strikes in Sumy.

When Putin wants to "free" a Country it usually involves a lot of "deading" and the installation of a Puppet.

That is sad and I wish it hadn't happened, however it was 2 months ago (what search engine is finding) ; I am trying to find news about ceasefires being attempted, and being adhered to or not.
Here's a whataboutism. Ukrainian drone kills civilians in Moscow last week.
https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukr...025-03-11/
MOSCOW, March 11 (Reuters) - Ukraine on Tuesday launched its biggest ever drone attack on Moscow and the surrounding region, killing at least three employees of a meat warehouse, injuring 17 others and causing a short shutdown at the Russian capital's four airports, Russian officials said.
Neither of these things are the point i am trying to make. Will Ukraine hold to ceasefire agreements when it is not being mentioned? Its just USA RUSSIA blablabla. Meanwhile Ukraine is being prodded from behind by EU to keep up the Money Laundering War.
I am just here trying to find info about both sides hopefully ending this stupid conflict, instead of rehashing boring one sided propaganda.

Russia has been deliberately targeting civilians virtually every day since the beginning of it's Wa...I mean, SMO.
Like, War crimes.
