I have no clue what is going on over there, so much propaganda and lies in media and Especially Ukraine.  I can understand Putin spreading lies to America, but that is normal.  I personally think that the USA should build up it's weapons now instead of selling them, we have cut our supplies too low now, we need to build them up before selling them to Europe to give to Zelensky to waste in a war that cannot be won.  Escalating this war is not wise, Putin may decide to level Ukraine completely to teach the west a lesson.

I am not fond of Zelensky, he is a war monger too, seems like he is more worried about fighting a war to gain personal prestige than in negotiating a peaceful solution to end the war.  A real lot of his soldiers have already died, we need peace between the countries, not a winner.

Dems lead Zelensky, Ukraine off a cliff with pressure to reject mineral deal

Before meeting Trump, Zelensky met with anti-Trump Democrats who advised him to reject the terms of the mineral deal the president was offering, according to Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.).

The People that met with Zelensky ahead of time need to be brought up on charges now that we know for certain what was going on.

The purpose of the meeting was to sign the mineral agreement he and Trump representatives had negotiated. He had twice refused to sign it after promising to, and thanks to Murphy, we now know he had no intention of signing it Friday.
 
By listening to the nakedly partisan advice of Dems instead of dealing forthrightly with the current president, Zelensky betrayed his countrymen and, for now at least, leaves them without the military and diplomatic protection that only America can provide.

While some here had suspected as much, now we know what happened in that earlier meeting from someone that was there. NATO has been wrecked by this incident by the... well I call them Trotskyists a lot, but hopefully you can all see why now.

Typical Democrats.  They destroyed the Rare Earth Minerals deal because the deal made Trump look good.   It was a good deal for the USA and for Ukraine.   But nooooooo .... just gotta' do anything to sabotage Trump even if it's a bad move for America and Ukraine, who they falsely claim to care about.

To be fair, Republicans would have sabotaged it as well if it were a Democrat doing the deal.

I don't like Trump.  He's a bloviating, self promoting, grifter.   Lots of the time he does things that make me want to pull my hair out by the handful.  But other times he does things that are good.  This was something that was good for us and Ukraine both.   But the Democrats just couldn't let it happen.

Pretty much all politicians suck all over the world.  I don't know how anyone can 'team cheerlead' for any politician.

Yeah and it would have never started with Trump as President is abundantly clear however

it seems Macron still needs some hand-holding and no Ukraine is not part of our manifest destiny. 

If Obama thinks Russia is just a gas station doesn't that make Ukraine, a rare earth minerals store?

Macron: I want Americans to understand that disengaging from Ukraine is not in their interest. Abandoning Ukraine without security guarantees would weaken deterrence against Russia, China, and others. America’s manifest destiny is to be on the side of the Ukrainians—I have no doubt about that.

I think the US and UK owe it to Ukraine to somehow put security measures in place, along with other countries, only because of convincing Ukraine to get rid of their nukes, their only security cards. But, then I understand the problem in dealing with a dictator such as Putin who won't make any concessions. This is a difficult path to forge any lasting peace, I will say that.

Thanks for the well wishes, lately, more times than is normal, when I leave the house I catch some virus. It's concerning. I think I am beating it.
