Ukraine does not have an unending supply.
Russia does.  Their own because they are much bigger, and other countries fighters.
This is why 'peacekeepers' in Ukraine would be armed and would end up carrying the weight
if an invasion came again or this one was to spread.

I think you are forgetting that if the European and UK boots on the ground are attacked their overwhelming air superiority would come into play so your scenario seems unlikely.

take over the non-combat positions, then more Ukrainian soliders for combat roles.

Mind you, Ukrainians are defending positions mostly, whereas Russian tactics seem to be throwing waves of expendables at them. At great cost of lives and injured.

I watch front line podcasts where it appears to me that Ukraine is blowing the hell out of Russian resources, so who really knows?

Ukraine is a small country.   The ENTIRE country is the front line.  There is no safe back position.  'Peacekeepers' would be fully armed and combat ready.  They would be in the line of fire while there.   And you speaking of Turkey ... again ... Turkey which is run by Erdogan, who wants a world wide Islamic Caliphate with himself at the helm, and wants all the Jews dead ... you want him and his caliphate 'peacekeepers' to run Ukraine???   Yeah ... what could go wrong there?   Pffft.

And they will never be able to leave.
Because Russia and Putin will always be wanting more of Ukraine and other countries.
And Ukraine doesn't have the troops to keep them out.
It will be never ending.

Let's not just focus on boots on the ground.

Russia's air force would be no match.

They haven't even got air superiority over Ukraine.
