ICE is not 'new' nor a 'mob.' Are you Australian or something?  It was founded in 2003, 22 years ago.   Whether or not it's strictly necessary is not the point. 

We had interviews with USCIS so my wife could come here legally, so that ICE did not have to police her off the street and out of the country.

ICE are the cops on the street for enforcing immigration.
USCIS is the adjudicator and application manager for proper immigration.
CBP is the customs and border enforcement at ports of entry, land, sea and air.

Nothing wrong with making sure those that are here illegally and bringing down the system oftentimes socially and economically go back home and try again the proper way.

I can understand why many people are upset with Trump accusing Kiev for starting the war. However, we should admit that 2014 has been purged from our collective memory and banned from the war narrative - This was CNN reporting on Kiev's attack on Donbas after the 2014 coup
