The International Olympic Committee is reportedly set to ban transgender women from competing in all female categories.
The change is set to be officially announced early next year, The Times reported on Monday, citing sources.

 
The decision to overhaul the current policy was made after the sporting committee carried out a science-based review of a biologically-born male’s physical advantages, the sources added.

 

The report also claimed there were clear advantages with athletes who had Disorders of Sexual Development (DSD) — a range of conditions where a person can have characteristics of both sexes that can appear at different points in their lives.
The condition garnered massive attention following Algerian boxer Imane Khelif’s gold medal win in the Paris 2024 games.

It was unfair, a farce and a fucking joke to begin with.

But what of the virtue of "diversity, equity, and inclusion" for every individual's self-vision? 
The garbage doctrine was injected everywhere... and here we are undoing that mess.

And of all things.... to actually accept that physiology is a scientific fact, not bias...

I resent that it takes the "political" form of a "ban".

It could have simply been a restriction to compete according to your actual biological physiology...
not a ban against otherwise.

Let the other stuff fall away... as it is falling away all over the globe. 
You can sense it in the media...

There will always be those who cling to the spirit of the movement... it wasn't base or disharmonious.
But as usual, the activists screwed it up for them... turning it into compelled charity...the emptiest kind.
Such is the case with many of our social attempts to "do good."

I suggest we do good as individuals... and focus on that, rather than a larger world we can't see for the media amplification, click-bait, and activist fog.

That is very unfair. Just because a woman suffers the delusion that she is a man is no reason to ban her from women's sport. The best athletes are occasionally awry in some way or another.

Men who claim they are women should not participate in women's sports at a competitive level, of course.

Actually a kick to the balls will determine if someone is male or not, I realise it still hurts women but not as much as their tackle is on the inside.

Not to get into an old 60-year-old man rant, but the recent generations are the first ones who didn't mostly revere and at atleast respect thier parents' lives, careers, and the older generations' discoveries and accomplishments.

Instead of the usual youth rebellion against their parents, there's a wholesale disregard for everything 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. 

Enough latchkey children bought into the politicization of the failures of past generations, looked at thier parents with disdain, and not only no help for thier current situation, but the actual root cause.

Thus, they reject much of the previous generations' learned knowledge; what was accepted as reality and fact in the past is now molded and twisted to address the latch key adults' various paranoias and psychoses. 

Since they blame history, they reject all that is history... basically de-evolution, we have no direction and no forward traction.

I remember in 8th grade, the boys playing the girls volleyball team who had two seasons of experience, during a PE class. The girls got destroyed and unfortunately were pretty disheartened because they had the belief that their 2 years was going to make it an easy thing.

The bigger concern is that it took a scientific look and several years of stupid to figure this out. You could have asked any 10 year old and gotten this sorted much sooner and more cheaply (socially and monetarily)

This new study (the one and only, so far) was just released last week and the results say there are 'inherent' traits that do make transgender participation in women's sports unfair. But remember they did do testing before this study where they did find some traits were fair.

So with all the complex variables in determining fairness, I think it is warranted to just proceed as they have until more studies are done which may deem the blanket ban as being unfair and/or a human rights violation.
