Your incarceration rate is about 4x what it is in the UK.

Then if you dig into the nitty gritty of crime and the fact that the majority of criminals are mentally or intellectually disabled then you'll see where the real problems are and again you'll notice US statistics are hardly flattering.

I agree with the mayor also, violent crime is scary when weapons that can butcher people become involved, you have to be a nutter to indiscriminately attack people and when it's done with a weapon that so easily puts insides onto the outside, it's messy and traumatising. It won't suprise me when the facts become released and we find out there's been systemic failures here. I could be wrong on that front but it's usually the case.

A man arrested on suspicion of murder after a multiple stabbing on a train between Doncaster and London Kings Cross on Saturday has been named and charged. Anthony Williams, 32, from Peterborough, has been charged with 10 counts of attempted murder, one count of actual bodily harm and one count of possession of bladed article. Another man was arrested after the incident, but was then released. Eleven people were treated in hospital.
Police said yesterday that five casualties have been discharged. One person - a member of LNER rail staff who was on the train at the time and tried to stop the attacker - remains in a life-threatening condition. They showed “incredible bravery” to save lives during a mass stabbing on a busy train is in a critical but stable condition in hospital, Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander said this morning. She added while speaking to Sky News: “There are people who are alive today because of his actions and his bravery."

As others have said, One man has been arrested and charged for the attack, whilst one person still remains in hospital.

Just speculating.

But a lot of homeless people choose to spend time on public transportation in this day of age, and at this time of year, if they can skip the fare.

Simply because it offers a modecum of free light, heat, and wifi and shelters you from the weather. 

And unfortunately, a lot of those very same homeless people have serious mental health concerns to contend with.

Not proposing that's any sort of reason or excuse, just wondering if that's why he was on the train, if he had no fixed abode?

Seems he may have been jumping on and off public transport if indeed he happened to have committed the other attempted Murder in London earlier in the day.

Guess they will follow his actions and retrace his steps via the CCTV they have in place and find out what he's really been up to.
