Ok I scrolled to the end of the thread to see if there was any more info. I see it’s drifted off topic. Has it been ascertained that it was definitely deliberate yet? Not something due to mechanical failure of the vehicle? Like brakes failing or throttle stuck?

Whatever the reason for the tragedy it’s down to the psychology of perp in question. If not an accident.
Not their religion, their background, their circumstances, something they got from the news, being on drugs or anything else. It’s down solely to the individual.

I must add the above things do influence us all one way or another, directly or indirectly, people’s beliefs and attitudes are often questionable. Hatred is also a real thing. But unless the perp is mind controlled it is they who are responsible for their actions.

The people that tar everyone with the same brush because of an individual’s actions, or even a small groups actions, are blind to reality.

It's clear from the video that he was in control of the vehicle as he was going backwards , forwards and manoeuvring.

So not mechanical failure.

Now been charged:

Local businessman and father-of-three charged after Liverpool crash - BBC News

"We earlier reported that Paul Doyle, the suspect in the Liverpool car crash, is a local businessman and father-of-three. "We can now also report that Doyle is a former Royal Marine, who is believed to have served in the 1990s."

Seems to have been in complete control of the vehicle.

As to deliberate, well, his actions speak for themselves.

He may not have intended for it to go that way, or to run over the pedestrians, but he did, so..........................

Good people can do bad things, especially if there are drugs involved.

You see! This is why we need a cashless society! If we were tracking his purchases and stopping what he was buying in real time, then this never would have happened! Cashless society will end all drug use, I tell you.

Until the power goes off, you mean? ;)

And then cash is king once again as long as it's not in the bank.

There will always be drugs available while there is a demand.

That's just a sad, hard fact of reality and supply and demand 101.

And even in a cashless society, people would find ways and means to pay for products that are considered grey/black market affairs.

Hey man, I am just playing Devil's Idiot.  I am paraphrasing Macron's reasoning for taking France of that evil dirty cash stuff.
If this is drugs in UK then this helps the Cause too!
We should all be hopeful to live in a technofascist surveillance hell hole like China.  It's for our own safety.

That's cool, buddy, and i have been known to play the same.

I dont think in this instance, drugs have helped much through.

Even possibly having contributed to the horrendous incident taking place.

As to safety, well, that's an illusory notion at best, kind of like security or even freedom now i come to think about it.

As to technofascist surveillance hell holes, well the UK has one of the highest concentrations of CCTV cameras in the world.

With estimates suggesting there are millions of cameras across the country.

We probably ticked the technofascist box a while back now, depending on how you look at it, or rather, who is looking. ;)

A former Royal Marine, hmm could be suffering from PTSD, a victim of mind control, or that day he simply lost his mind.
