Wow.  Forget you then... Thanks for pissing on my family's service to go after a poster you want to personally engage.  And way to make the site look moderate. And thanks for ignoring my attempts to calm this down so you can mock our war veterans instead. 

I think armed forces still have reason to exist, especially in humanitarian aid, logistics and even deterrence/policing, but I can't pretend that warfare is honorable.

Warfare is a failure of humans being humane, an archaic paradigm that doesn't even remotely achieve all that the idealogues suggest it does.

From everyone who served, have family who served, or have a loved one currently deployed upholding a sworn duty it's not their job to question.

It bloody well is their job to question. It's part of military law to refuse unlawful orders because the adherence of soldiers to moral and ethical standards is necessary for them to serve justly and not commit (war) crimes.

Perhaps it doesn’t apply on Deny Ignorance; in that case, the proper response would be to remove his post with a explanatory reference to the relevant T&C. That is a separate issue.

I’m not going to mock someone’ patriotism, but I will defend anyone’s right to do so – just as I could (and did) mock my own country’s warmongering fools and the bigotry they, like some ‘patriotic’ Americans, propagated during a civil war that is now, I am pleased to say, long over.

I believe they were referring to the morality of it all *as in "morally right"* and not questioning his human rights. I can see how it could be misinterpreted without additional syntax.

I could be wrong but to me human rights would be a silly interpretation of that
