No, I was pointing out that the POTUS even confirmed that it happened. It doesn't speak to the credibility of what he says, though.

I'm sure that there are many lies happening all the time, but that also implies that some stuff is legitimately truly occurring, somewhere... all the time.

I find that those that like to boast about service online or use it to make their opinions seem more valid tend to fall into 3 categories

1) Stolen valor. They are just making it up for internet points.
2) They were some rear echelon clerk or generals  lackey and the closeted they ever got to real "action" was unclogging a particular nasty turd in the officers mess.
3) Dishonorable discharges.
