US-Iran War Mudpit Thread
Iranian hardliners warn of coup.
Quote:On Tuesday, Nabavian, the hardline lawmaker who fiercely opposes the agreement and has been one of the leading voices warning of a “coup,” was removed from his position on the parliament’s National Security Commission, along with another parliamentarian critical of the deal.

Nabavian, who was part of Iran’s negotiating delegation before turning against the talks and attempted to derail the agreement by leaking the text to the media before it was signed last month, claimed that Iran’s negotiating team were defying the supreme leader’s red lines in their talks with the US. CNN could not reach Nabavian for comment. He and others echo the views of “Jebhe-ye Paydari” (the Endurance Front) whose hardline members are often described by observers as “Super Revolutionaries.” They see themselves as the guardians of the values of the 1979 revolution that overthrew the pro-Western monarch and established an Islamic theocracy.

We could just be getting started at this point. It sounds like there are still plenty of Iranian revolutionaries that are not looking for a peace deal.

Iran had a working nuclear program.  they boasted that they were months away from having a working device.  they openly indicated their desire to wipe out Israel.  Mr. Trump was smart to be proactive.   Iran has shown by its actions that it is a threat to the world.

"Under the Geneva Conventions, civilian objects are protected from attack unless they contribute to military action.
This can create a legal grey zone where militaries often try to justify attacks in real time, even though these are frequently found later to be war crimes. Joel Rayburn, a retired US Army colonel and senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, told Al Jazeera that military lawyers at US Central Command (CENTCOM) and elsewhere might have cleared these targets as “dual-use” – civilian infrastructure also potentially used for military purposes.

Iran, meanwhile, points to the human toll as evidence that civilians are bearing the brunt of the US campaign. Iranian authorities say 3,468 people were killed between February 28 and June 7 during the first phase of the war. Since fighting resumed after Tehran and Washington met in Switzerland on June 22, Iran says a further 38 civilians have been killed and more than 400 injured in US attacks."

All is fair game when the rules are subject to the 'grey zone'.

Trump regime? I hope someone is putting that in a political ad.

No biggie.

The Islamic Republic of Japan needs to be demolished.

Or so I’ve heard.
