"There are already people within the Iranian oil system who are beginning to think about ways to leave the country, because they realize that the crisis is much more severe than they thought at the start of the blockade."
Senior Iran Analyst Dror Balazada reports that, in addition to the wage freeze and usage of old tankers for oil storage, the Iranian regime is now using decades-old tankers that are causing oil to leak into the sea.
The Iranians fear that not pumping would damage the pumps. Trump's blockade is working - the situation is so bad that oil industry workers are considering fleeing the country.

Medication shortages are starting to hit the UK, in paticular Anti-epileptics and chemo drugs. A lot of this is due to failure of UK gov to have emergency stockpiles of life saving meds rather than solely due to closing of the strait as several preventable deaths from seizures have occured prior to the war solely because of medication shortages. The shortage of meds due to the war hasn't hit yet, but massive rises in costs of manufacture and transport are causing a major shortage with over 70% struggling to get hold of anti-epileptic drugs.
I'm unable to get the majority of my epilepsy meds at the moment and may be able to get some at the end of the week but pharmacy haven't been able to get hold of any since 1st May - I need a paticular brand of Sanofii Epilm 500 due to life threeatening allergic reaction to binders in other brand Epilim - despite stockpiling I completely run out on Friday. The life saving drug, Midazolam has pretty much run out
It's worth checking out charities and support groups for lists of affected medications - It's nowhere near as disruptive to supply chains as Brexit was yet but if in desperate need ask around independent small pharmacies in your area if they have the item in stock as they're less prone to shortages and pharmacy/dr can submit an electronic prescription to them.

There’s constant news of a deal nearly being inked. Several times the government has said the strait is open or about to be open.
Im sure we’re just a week or two away from normality.

So we continue to call Trump a liar, and then listen to and believe his every word...
If one thought there would be regime change/immediate surrender within 90 days, thier thought processes are seriously flawed. It doesn't mean Iran's winning, it's just a slight detour, all potentialities are still possible
MILITARILY, it's over except now we are in the diplomatic BS wrapped in Iranian fanatical stubbornness phase, they whacked a few mullahs, now they will likely have to whack a few IIRG commanders

I think many here believed it wouldn’t be over in the first couple of months. There was a lot of laughter towards those individuals.
There were several members here who said the old shah would be installed within weeks, and Hormuz wouldn’t be closed after.

Trump says US-Iran ceasefire on 'life support' after rejecting Tehran's latest proposal
Are these negotiation tactics for whoever in Iran, or a logical imminent concern for the resumption of hostilities?
We now have the crack Iranian submarine fleet to be concerned about? This could be "forever" war...
and the Strait of Hormuz will be awash in a Terhanian tidal wave of naval warfare

It looks like the US missed some of the Iranian military planes.
Quote:As Pakistan positioned itself as a diplomatic conduit between Tehran and Washington, it quietly allowed Iranian military aircraft to park on its airfields, potentially shielding them from American airstrikes, according to U.S. officials with knowledge of the matter.
Iran also sent civilian aircraft to park in neighboring Afghanistan. It was not clear if military aircraft were among those flights, two of the officials told CBS News.

Im sure this can't affect Pakistani neutrality as mediators.

US Propaganda?
----
According to a CBS News report citing anonymous U.S. officials, Pakistan allowed Iranian military aircraft to park at the strategically important Nur Khan Air Base near Rawalpindi to shield them from potential American airstrikes. The report claims this occurred shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire in early April, with Tehran moving assets including an RC-130 reconnaissance plane to the base.
Pakistan has strongly denied these allegations, dismissing the claims as "misleading, sensationalised, and entirely detached from the factual context." Islamabad stated that any Iranian aircraft present arrived during the ceasefire period for diplomatic logistics and administrative support related to peace talks, asserting they bear "no linkage whatsoever to any military contingency or preservation arrangement." - U.S. Reaction: Senator Lindsey Graham called for a "complete reevaluation" of Pakistan’s role as a mediator if the report is accurate, stating he would not be shocked if the claims were true given prior statements by Pakistani defense officials.
- Afghanistan Connection: The report also alleged Iran moved civilian aircraft to neighboring Afghanistan, though the Taliban denied this, and an Afghan official confirmed only one Mahan Air plane was present, later moved to Herat.
- Context: The incident highlights Pakistan’s difficult balancing act between its security ties with the U.S. and its strategic relationship with Iran and China, which supplies nearly 80% of Pakistan’s major arms.

This wealth advisor/finance influencer on youtube uses an AI to dictate his program. For whatever reason, he covers Pakistan's part on the chessboard and how their granting China port access in the Arabian sea with a pipeline to China is an effort to reduce China's exposure to closure of the Malacca straight in Indonesia. There has been massive rail, highway, telecom and power infrastructure invested into Pakistan for this reason as well. It will be not just for oil and energy, but freight and material goods as well. Many of these deals were signed while US foreign policy was distracted elsewhere. Mostly he also outlines how this affects insurance risk pricing, new marittime and supply chain routes through there etc.. etc..
Indian perspective on this alliance between China and Pakistan, and apparently Turkey as well.
