I didn't watch the speech or even plug in last night I watched the Artemis II stuff.

Sounds like Uncle Sam needs to surrender and beg forgiveness from NATO pronto..

Trump had better hope he gets help opening up the Strait ASAP.... or half the world is going to faint from the anxiety of it all.

hard to tell maybe its just the night shift

I for one find it almost impossible to see a scenario where Iran “wins”.

But I do see an easier path to everyone losing.

If we really did blow up the power plants on the way out, I think it would be worse than Saddam torching the oil wells on his way out. Iran is approaching the summer, you need power to clean and pump water, pump energy to different regions.

If part of the justification for all this was the killed protesters, we’d be effectively turning a nation of 90~ into the next Syria or Yemen.

I remember making that point before the war. I said how many countries have we gone into in recent history where things turned out better afterwards. And I’m not saying you implied this, but I remember people saying I was being weak or cowardly to not have my country step up after that track record.

And now we’re saying it openly.

Sadly, I’d be shocked if we leave in 2-3 weeks. I think that is just buying time for something else. And leaving would probably be the best option for all parties involved.

You got up to watch it?
Or are you commenting from watching selected snips with commentary on your news?

For the record.
I didn't stay up to watch it.
I haven't seen snips from it.

I think we both know 3 am is not exactly out of kilter for the pair of us Flyers.

But no, I was in my scratcher, sound asleep for once.

I watched it when i got up this morning.

Here you go.

Looks like Trump needs his bed, talk about low-key and confusing...

As Tonto said the last time he spoke to the Lone Ranger, ‘What do you mean “we”, white man?’

You have stated repeatedly on this thread that it would be worth destroying half the world to maintain US geopolitical supremacy and your precious American lifestyle. So tell us, please... just who are the ‘we’ that agree with you on this? Who else wants to destroy half the world to preserve American geopolitical dominance and $2 gasoline?

Israel? Maybe, just as long as you keep doing what they tell you.

Who else?

All the other countries that Trump has attacked with his tariffs – that is to say, the whole world? Heh heh.

America’s most loyal allies, whom Trump and his administration have bullied, insulted and threatened? You must be joking.

The United States of America itself? I hate to break it to you, sweetie, but most Americans hate this war.

The Republican Party? Plenty of Republicans, from the Vice President down, are registering their disapproval or at least doing their best to distance themselves from it.

MAGA? All the people who voted for America First and no more foreign wars? Well, most are probably still sunk deep in their Messianic delusions, but a sizeable chunk of them are getting seriously worried.

Chum, the only people in your club are deluded, ignorant, bloodthirsty fanatics completely untethered to reality. I ask again: what does that make you?

Just listen to yourself raving:

Your geopolitical understanding appears to be that of a psychotic pre-schooler.

And my favourite...

 Lol Lol Lol Lol Lol

Stymied in Korea. Defeated in Cuba. Defeated in Vietnam and the rest of Indo-China. Defeated in Iraq. Defeated in Afghanistan. Powering through, eh? Powering yourselves into the bloody ground, more like it.

America under Donald Trump looks exactly like your avatar: a solitary, hysterical, out-of-shape has-been flailing at phantoms and striking nothing but air. Blowing holes in the ground in Iran and achieving Sweet Fanny Adams – one month in and the Straits are still closed, energy prices are still sky-high, munitions are raining down on Israel and the Gulf States, and the Iranian regime is still very much in place and appears to be growing in strength and defiance.

The Orange Emperor and his cultists have destroyed all the credit your country once had with the world. They have done it in an incredibly short time. No-one thought the collapse would come so soon, so suddenly. Who would have thought the Iranian regime, of all people, would have been the ones to destroy US geopolitical dominance? And after you have attacked, bullied, insulted and threatened the entire world, who do you think is going to come to your aid now?

Your country will never recover from this. Sadly, it will take decades for the rest of us to recover, as well.

I see you've become emotional.

Our closest allies have taken advantage of us and also actively tried to topple our country.

As for Israel as crazy as they are I would still work with them over any dictators, Iranian clerics, socialist or communist countries like the entire list you mentioned.

If the United States disappears the rest of the world falls to subjugation to cruelest maniacs the world can and has produced.

If the the everyone but us disappeared nothing bad would happen in fact our quality of life would just go up.

We have carried this planet and it's so call nations to where it is while you bite our hands yet we still continue to do it.

We the people of the United States no longer see the benefit of wasting our money and resources on the people and places that just stab us in the back because they always have their hands out for that aid but never show up when we fight for their safety and resources.

I speak about destroying the planet to remind you that we can at any point reduce this planet to cinders we would rather not but if you can't keep your governments under your control we will because we won't have any other choices.

You speak for the people of America, do you?

As for us never showing up, we have been over this and it simply isn't true.

As for reducing the planet to cinders,well...

There's no reason on God's green Earth that Americans should expect to come out on top in every business deal.

And by the way, have you given any consideration to the practical consequences of your irrational hatreds?  The US and the EU are cross-invested in each other to the tune of around 50% of our GDPs.  The EU is the US' largest trading partner by far--about 3 times larger than China. We've already tied our boat to theirs. If we harm their economies it harms our economies about as much, and vice versa.

Dump Trump and keep NATO.

The Steele dossier created by Christopher Steele who is a British former intelligence officer with the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) fabricated false accusations against Donald Trump that was then used to illegally obtain a wire tap and pushed out into global media to directly impact what would have been a free and fair election in the United States of America, so yeah foreigners tried to rip us off. Our we could talk about how Britain purchased large quantities of cotton from the southern United States to help fuel their war against the northern part of the United States cause massive loss of life.

Europe tariffs the shit out of American products reciprocal tariffs are only fair.

In this forum I do, but like I stated in those comments i'm not in any position of power. There are plenty of people who don't agree and can't wait to become socialist here they just aren't in driver seat either and the media who is their biggest cheerleaders try to frame it as they are but it's smoke and mirrors. Their little protest last weekend was way smaller then they anticipated. We've been over how you couldn't be bother to lets us use a couple of air fields to station and refuel to go protect your region of the world from maniacs, I don't recall that conversation. You know the Iranians had no intention of stopping both missile and nuclear ambitions but think they would just leave you alone after they wiped out Israel? When id time to act old chap when London is being bombarded?

Well radioactive waste lands if you prefer, cinders sounded more dramatic.

Thats why I don't listen..of course theres subterfuge Iran China Russia NATO Europe the Middle East are all listening.

Its not perfect Im aware war never is,
it could still go south, quick,
but so far, militarily against an entrenched opponent that has 47 years and billions of our tax dollars to prepare for this moment. The rotating missile launchers dug deep inside a mountain. This isn't the pajamas and Middle East sandals doctrine; this was Sino/Russia MIC top-shelf product and defense systems. All which Uncle Sammy has handled extremely well

USS Abraham Lincoln had 108 missile and drone attacks and neutralized EVERY single one, using a wide array of systems and capabilities.

Now the Iranian general public is giving coordinates to the IDF of where regime officials are holed up, the officials are hit in 30 minutes of less or it' free.

If your against the US being in Iran, I get it. But to ignore the problems Iran causes while cheering any false propaganda that supports Iran and hope for Trump’s failure blows my mind.  Added, especially if you are a staunch supporter of the Ukraine and I would guess be supportive of anything that limits Putin’s ability to arm and reduces his allies.

The DNC peddles fear like it's meth, and plenty are addicted.

The left is more than a little concerned the war isn't imploding as expected, collectively the left's inherent paranoia runs deep...

It's so entrenched in thier psyche it's an involuntary worst-case-scenario response...

all when every positive goal in Iran is still obtainable, even regime change.

Oh, it's impressive, no doubt about that fact.

But what happens if/when the general public feeds them the wrong coordinates?

My thinking being it's apt to take more than 30 minutes to accurately verify if it's a valid target.

Seems to me that's how the likes of schools could get destroyed by mistake.

The ultimate form of swating, really.

Crazy to me people will hold grudges over this type of stuff but completely dismiss other things.

The Steele Dossier was funded by the GOP and then handed off to Clinton for election OpPo research.

Do you remember the Wikileaks that came out that we were spying on our European allies and leaders? Or how about our social media companies and politicians favoring politicians in elections there?

To me it just looks petty to act as if we’re so utterly wronged by allies when we do the same things to them. The relationship isn’t perfect, most on life rarely are even with family and loved ones.

But acting as if they are absolute leeches and take more than Middle Eastern countries is silly and has been disproven by simple math in this very thread.

Europe has accounted for over 50% of foreign investment into the states over the last ten years. They’ve accounted for 20%~ of war and aid spending in the last 50 years where as the Middle East accounted for 50% of war and aid over the last 50 years.

the top five aid recipients ever have 3 in the Middle East and 0 in Europe.

All of that is adjusted for inflation.
