I am no fan of the idea of a ground invasion, but Trump has said a lot of things over the past couple weeks.

He's basically just thinking out loud as he is deciding his next moves. More often than not, there happens to be a camera rolling.

Trump is saying one thing and then contradicting himself in the next sentence.

Trump said he won't be the President who goes to war, then he is suddenly all gung-ho and attacking other countries.

But Trump isn't calling it a war it's just a "special military operation", then he says he's "won the war" and its totally over and they have been obliterated, then he says it might go on a few weeks.

Then Trump says he will not commit ground troops, then he will, then he says he will destroy major infrastructure, including Kharg Island, then he doesn't because he is in talks that are going well, but he doesn't seem to mention exactly who he is in talks with and Iran says at that stage they aren't in talks with anyone.

Then Trump says he personally isn't in talks with Iran but that others in his administration are in talks with Iran, then the Iranians say that they don't trust anyone in the Trump administration at all, except maybe Vance (because Vance has voiced some reservations about the attack), but Trump isn't initially specific about who in his administration are in the talks, but later he mentions Hegseth, Rubio and other "top guys" but doesn't mention Vance. Then later Trump does mention Vance, but not in regard to the talks with Iran.

Then it seems that Israel are the ones planning the attacks and calling the shots and that Trump is just loaning them military infrastructure. Then Israel is doing extra bombing runs that Trump claims for the 4th time to have "totally obliterated" the ability of Iran to produce nukes, but those attacks seem to have caught the US off-guard and had been done without the prior knowledge of the USA.

Then Trump says that he was asking other 1st world countries to join in, but he also says that they haven't supported the US in previous military conflicts (which is a lie) and that the USA doesn't need them.

And all through this, Trump has kept repeating that "nobody knew that it would happen like that", when almost everyone did.

And here we are, a month in to this thing, and Trump seems to still have no strategy or plan, but is spit-balling everything he can think of, to see if anything will stick.

Face it, Trump has lost his MAGA base, has been the sole subject of the biggest protest movement in US history, he doesn't have international support for his military actions, he is heavily mentioned and also implicated in the Epstein files, he is now older than Biden was at the time Biden was POTUS and is showing cognitive decline (falling asleep all the time, slurring words, loosing track of what he is talking about and loosing his temper even more), and while those big protests were going on, the CPAC conference was hardly attended and when one speaker asked if they wanted to see another term of impeachments, they whole crowd broke out cheering "Yes", and the speaker had to tell them that they were wrong and should have said "No". LOL, you couldn't have made this stuff up!

Trump is old and failing. He will soon be gone forever. He may not even get to finish his term. Not because there are people opposing him, but merely because of natural ageing and mortality. Trump's first term was defined by his fumbling of response to the pandemic (there were 222 countries that kept mortality ratios per million, lower than the USA under Trump). His second term seems to be unravelling because he doesn't know what he is doing and cannot listen to the advice of others who have put time and effort into studying subjects like economics, history, military campaigns, medicine, the environment, the sciences and politics, etc.

It is no longer Israel/America vs Iran/China. Now it is now Israel/America vs Iran/China/Russia. Russia has set up its next gen S-500 to challenge the Iranian airspace.

I was on a bus a couple of weeks back, going into town to meet the Mrs. 

And some Muslim fella decided to pick on and take umbrage at a younger black woman sitting in front of him, eating a packet of crisps. 

Apparently, he was not happy with her eating in front of him because it was Ramadan. 

She turns around and proceeds to tell the clown in a loud Scottish Glaswegian drawl.

"f#ck off ya dafftie, if yur no happy watching people eat, yeh should have stayed in the hoose."

The entire bus erupted in fits of laughter and cheers of well said. 

The point being, when in Rome, do as the Romans do.

You can't expect other people to respect customs that are not prevalent in the nation...
