Not a fan of Israel's heavy-handed tactics in Lebanon, which have been occurring my whole life. It is what it is.
Ive posted often about a Lebanese co-worker I respected. She spoke of how beautiful South Lebanon was, and how it was caught in the middle between Israel and multiple factions back in the 80s in Beirut.
She wasn't wrong; she didn't like Israel, but she understood why Israel was how it was.

With your narrow view of what god is about, good luck with that.
On your claims of self defense, you have screwed the pooch. Things will never be the same. By stepping outside the rules of international law in this unproved attack, you have killed the self defense of all nations on what do we trust? Trump with his 'Bored of Peace', wanting to make his own UN, while forgetting all the lessons of war that made this institution is going back to the hard way to learn.
Yeah some of the UN got a bit wacky with all the Billionaire foundations with their own agenda. Getting a lot of people together with 'Executive Privilege' also raises its own problems. As for a place where the world can discuss worldly problems, it done better than a headless Iran with no off switch.

I think some of the Trump cultists on here are so far gone, clapping each other on the back, they've missed the fact that Trump's navy still HASN'T even attempted to traverse the straits.
It's also funny after they all came on here after the 12 day 'war' claiming Trump had finally taken care of Iran, to then a few weeks later have to listen to Trump claim Iran were on the verge of attack.
All the while forgetting they were celebrating his "No new Wars" mantra only a year ago.
Those same people are also trying to say Iran is finished, all whilst Trump has yet again backed down (T.A.C.O) from his threats after Iran threatened America's energy infrastructure in the middle east.
Now he's trying to push blame onto other's like Hegseth and Netanyahu.
https://www.rawstory.com/trump-throws-he...r-the-bus/
Quote: President Donald Trump blamed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for persuading him to launch the Iran war during a Memphis event Monday, claiming he initiated discussions about the Middle East threat with military leaders.
trump bragged that the stock market had reached 50,000 before Operation Epic Fury began, suggesting continued gains were possible without military action. He framed the decision as a choice between economic growth and eliminating Iran as a "purveyor of terror" for 47 years.
Trump credited Hegseth as "the first one to speak up" in favor of military action, saying the defense secretary argued the U.S. couldn't allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons.
Trump predicted the war could end soon due to "very good discussions" with Iran, though Iranian officials have denied any such talks occurred with the Trump administration

Quote:Iranians are lashing out after Donald Trump teased a diplomatic end to his war on Iran, which would be a 'worst case' scenario for civilians on the ground.
Trump claimed today that the US is halting its punishing strikes on Iran's energy infrastructure following 'very good' peace talks with Tehran.
But in a stunning rebuke, Iranian officials denied the talks are taking place and taunted Trump, vowing to forge ahead with strikes on American bases and allies.
The conflicting narratives have sparked outrage and terror among Iranians inside the country and abroad, who fear that Trump's sudden pivot to diplomacy will erase the progress made against Iran's weakened leadership.
Trump made multiple de-escalatory statements on Monday, suggesting that he and Iran's leader could share authority over the Strait of Hormuz.
A Living Nightmare
Trump said the waterway, which handles 20 percent of global energy supplies, will be 'jointly controlled' by 'me and the Ayatollah, whoever the Ayatollah is.'
For everyday Iranians, the prospect of the regime surviving the conflict is a nightmare.
'The war is less scary than the possibility of negotiations,' one young Iranian told the Daily Mail.
The student says that news of negotiations with the regime was worse than 'power outages and starvation, and even being stuck under the rubble of your house.'
'People don't like this at all, but I don't think we should really care about what [Trump] says on the news,' another local explained.
Even though the regime is 'falling apart,' the US has 'not achieved its goal' and 'lots of money has been spent on this war.'
The 90 Percent Target
The US struck military targets on Iran's Kharg Island amid tensions on March 13 and is now reportedly considering invading the fuel depot - which processes around 90 percent of Iran's oil exports.
'Well, we don't want him to target the infrastructure either,' another Iranian told the Daily Mail via message.
Iranians are learning that Trump's mercurial nature makes it difficult to understand some of his strategy.
'Trump is still an unpredictable character to me,' a young woman in Tehran told the Daily Mail. 'I think we, as a nation, aren't the intended audience for everything Trump says, and that makes it extremely difficult to analyze. That's why I prefer not to get emotional about it.'
Others are desperately checking in on family. One Iranian in the Washington DC area managed a brief, two-minute international phone call with his widowed mother, who admitted she was 'worried about the war in Iran.'
When he urged her to leave her home and stay with her children, she simply replied: 'Trump said we shouldn't move from our homes.'

Quote:Trump considers sending paratroopers to Iran after announcing five-day delay to attacks... which gives marines enough time to arrive for ground offensive
Donald Trump has postponed US strikes on Iranian infrastructure for five days, backtracking from earlier threats to 'hit and obliterate' the Islamic regime's power plants if it didn't reopen the Strait of Hormuz in 48 hours.
But the US President's U-turn might be a delaying tactic, granting US marines enough time to arrive in the Gulf and seize Iran's Kharg Island, the 'crown jewel' of the Islamic Republic.
The five-mile-long territory, located 15 miles from the Iranian coast in the Strait of Hormuz, processes more than 90 per cent of Tehran’s crude oil exports and is vital in funding the country’s war effort.
Trump has already dispatched the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) to the region, comprised of the USS Tripoli, an amphibious assault ship, and two amphibious transport docks, USS San Diego and USS New Orleans, with about 2,200 marines embarked across the fleet.
On top of that, a similar sized fighting force, led by amphibious assault ship USS Boxer, set sail from San Diego last Wednesday, reportedly destined for the Middle East.
Now, senior military officials are weighing up a possible deployment of a combat brigade from the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division to support military operations in Iran.
Referring to Trump's announcement of a five day pause in hostilities, Victoria Coates, a former deputy US national security adviser, told Fox News: 'I think this is a calculated pause for the president - he loses nothing by not striking their electricity generating plants right this minute.'
She added that by the end of the break in fighting, the first contingent of US marines will have arrived in the Gulf, giving Trump the option to try to raid Kharg Island in a dramatic escalation of the war.

Quote:Trump and Vance Promised 'No New Wars.' What Happened To That?
MAGA's philosophical twists and turns are hard to follow given that whenever Donald Trump changes his mind his supporters have three go-to approaches. First, they claim his latest notion is part of a 3D chess game even if, by all appearances, Trump would struggle to play one-level tic-tac-toe. Second, they distract our attention: Didn't Barack Obama do this, too? Third, they get with the program and shamelessly back whatever the president is doing.
Sometimes MAGA-supporting influencers with their own agendas and philosophies take issue with some Trump policy. But rank-and-file MAGA always follows the Dear Leader even if it means contradicting some Deeply Held Principle they espoused weeks ago. The closest MAGA has to a firm belief set—outside of scapegoating immigrants—involves war and peace. I figured MAGA supporters were halfway serious about their often-touted goals of noninterventionism.
Then, boom—quite literally. MAGA cheered as Trump deposed the Venezuelan dictator to promote "freedom," although the administration bypassed the democratic resistance and replaced him with another authoritarian. They high-fived as Trump vowed to take over peaceful Greenland. Now "anti-war" paleoconservatives sound like the pro-war neoconservatives they've long criticized after the United States and Israel attacked Iran for a still-unclear purpose. And don't you dare bring up congressional war-powers authorization, as the Constitution requires.
Trump has long touted himself as the peace candidate. Before 2020, he warned that Joe Biden might start World War III. White House adviser Stephen Miller posted that "KAMALA WILL SEND YOUR SONS TO WAR" if she won. We know the president's determination to receive a Nobel Peace Prize—even a second-hand one—and his joyful acceptance of the international soccer league's toddler-appeasing peace prize, which seemed like something lifted from "Idiocracy."
Vice President J.D. Vance has also pivoted repeatedly to serve a man he once called America's Hitler. Nevertheless, Vance is unquestionably smart and, more than perhaps anyone else in this kakistocracy-like administration, has carefully detailed the case for opposing America's endless international interventions. I always thought his foreign-policy views, though often misguided, were at least heartfelt.
"Denial is a common tactic that substitutes deliberate ignorance for thoughtful planning."

? WATCH: BASIJ FORCES BEING HUNTED LIKE DOGS?
A mysterious group calling itself “Hunting Dog” is reportedly operating in Kermanshah, Iran.
Their identity is unknown. Their backing is unclear.
But they claim to have already taken out 6 Basij and regime forces.
Videos of their operations are spreading rapidly — many describe them as coordinated and highly professional.
If true, this signals a dangerous new phase inside Iran.
