War In the Middle East, Again w/ Christiane Amanpour & Amb. Wendy Sherman | The Weekly Show
Back in the day, CNN's Christiane Amanpour a widely respected journalist; if it happened in the Middle East, she told America about it, and she was unbiased, fair, and factual. Now, CNN's Chief International Anchor with Jon Stewart

That's quite a few thousand miles away. Apparently "we" didn't know they had missiles that would go that far.

It's concerning as hell, not going to lie, interesting theory though from my reading Discord...
Its launch came after the head of Iran's Aerospace division was killed, it's launch site was hit and destroyed, and launchers have been hit hard throughout Iran
Either it was a desperation shot, or it was the new head honcho shooting it off target on purpose. Rumors are that they have a single-digit number of these long-range missiles available, and some have already been hit

Foreign Affairs Minister Aragchi claimed last month that Iran had a self-imposed 2000km ballistic missile range.
If they are targeting U.S. bases 3800km away, this suggests they were much closer to an ICBM breakthrough than public estimates indicated.
If the Iranian missile program was getting to the point of being able to hit Diego Garcia, suddenly the timing and urgency of this war makes a lot more sense.

Seems they fired two at DG but they didn't reach it.
Does anyone know how far they got?

If Israel cannot sort out it bad people in its own jurisdiction, what kind of change is this action really going to make?
Access to a good education makes more of a difference than where one is born. For the next generation in Iran to get schooled in war, going to keep those trends alive into the future.
Too keep that 1984 'Hate Week' alive, people do have to reject the evidence before them for the party.

Google AI says they didn't 'come up short'.
One missed (bad aim?) and the other was engaged by interception (blew it up?)
Google AI - On March 21, 2026, Iran fired two intermediate-range ballistic missiles targeting the US-UK base at Diego Garcia, ~4,000 km away, but neither hit the target. Reports suggest one missile failed during flight, while the other was engaged by a US warship's SM-3 interceptor, highlighting a significant attempt to strike beyond the Middle East.

Apparently one was engaged but not clear it was successful but still nothing about where?

Maybe? Time will tell in how his career goes from here. As this conflict continues to burn away, maybe Trump will cancel the next election and round up all the dissenters. Maybe the plan for civil war will have some blow back with all the other problems going on in America. Maybe something else happens?
For now Joe Kent does provide a glimmer of hope for those that do want to deny ignorance.

I always respected Christiane Amanpour.
If you Google Christiane Amanpour Trump — you gat many videos giving a more rounded understanding of what Christiane thinks.
The one that stood out for me is “they” (other world leaders) understand Trump (open book) and his tactics — where he doesn’t understand the Iranian people at all (or care to). While they can’t fight with military power they have other strategies.
They did not capitulate.

If NATO were indeed to get involved, unlikely, but, if it did, would it not be under NATO control, not Trump's or Israel?
NATO is not his private army.
