Trump says he bombed Iran

Lol   I had to look that up to see if he actually said that.  Seemed so stupid that no one would say it.   This is what GoogleAI said when I asked if he said that ...

Yes, during a March 13, 2026, Pentagon press briefing regarding the U.S.-Iran war, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth made a widely reported statement regarding the Strait of Hormuz, saying: "The only thing prohibiting transit in the straits right now is Iran shooting at shipping. It is open for transit should Iran not do that"

So ... not his exact words but close enough.

The entire situation is getting pretty mad Flyers.

Some of the statements people are coming away with.

It's like they hit the ludicrous speed button.

"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."
I'm not so keen on the way this article is worded but again it shows how Trumps poor communication skills when talking with and about allies can bite him on the ass. Why does he need help if he's "already won" and "100% destroyed" Irans military capability?

Quote:Donald Trump begs other countries including UK to help defend oil tankers in humiliating U-turn

Donald Trump has performed a humiliating u-turn, begging the UK and others to send warships to the Middle East to help police the Strait of Hormuz.

Less than a week ago, the US President declared the war in Iran was "already won" - dismissing reports the UK was preparing the aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales to deploy to the region.
“The United Kingdom, our once Great Ally, maybe the Greatest of them all, is finally giving serious thought to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social website.

That’s OK, Prime Minister Starmer, we don’t need them any longer — But we will remember. We don’t need people that join Wars after we’ve already won!”
But today he appeared to have completely changed his tune as Iran continued to threaten ships attempting to sail the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for seaborne oil.

"Many Countries, especially those who are affected by Iran's attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe," he wrote.

"We have already destroyed 100% of Iran's Military capability, but it's easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or deliver a close range missile somewhere along, or in, this Waterway, no matter how badly defeated they are."

He went on to call on other countries to help the US police the Strait: "Hopefully China, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and others, that are affected by this artificial constraint, will send Ships to the area so that the Hormuz Strait will no longer be a threat by a Nation that has been totally decapitated.
"In the meantime, the United States will be bombing the hell out of the shoreline, and continually shooting Iranian Boats and Ships out of the water. One way or the other, we will soon get the Hormuz Strait OPEN, SAFE, and FREE!"

We've destroyed their airforce and navy.  But there are 42 million of them over there and a whole lot of those folks WILL NOT STOP.  They are fighting a religious war for their imaginary Mahdi.   This is something that the administration totally misunderstood.  I'm sure they thought the normal people would rise up and take over by now.

I thought he didn't need us because the War was already won?

Perhaps he forgot he said that.

Are there any US warships there, or on their way?

No worries, I dare say we could have a rusty old scowl there.  Maybe in a month or two....
'l'll just check my Giveashitometer....Nope.  Nothing...

Are there any "normal people" in the Middle East?

Flyers, the intelligence agencies have understood that concept since 1979.

There is a reason the last 7 U.S. presidents avoided direct war with Iran.

And it's not because you cannot beat them hands down.

It's because of the ideology they follow.

And at what cost?

The real kicker is that Ali Khamenei was a hop, skip, and a jump away from meeting Muhammad in person without Trump's help.

They did not need the B-2 strike, entropy would have done the job for nothing, and without the repercussions.

And now look at who's in power, allegedly or otherwise.

It's nuts with a capital "N."

Why should we pick up the bill and risk the lives of troops when Trump has repeatedly shat on troops who died in Iraq and Afhanistan and never told UK and French troops he was abandonning them in Northern Syria when he evacuated US troops to allow Turkey to commit war crimes against the Kurds.

He's put all European allies at risk by removing support for Ukraine and instead siding with Putin and lifting oil restrictions. If European forces relocate to Hormuz it puts Ukraine and European nations at risk of Russian attack.

Trump asking China for help shows how utterly screwed up the US war on Iran is and how little Trump knows about geo-politics. Is he wanting to share intelligence with China despite China supporting the regime and giving them intel on US targets? Why has he done a complete 180 from constant China bashing to claiming he now wants to help them have access to oil?

Trump is making Biden seem competent with his failure to have any plan in Iran and being unable to remember what statements he made less than a week ago.

Yep.  Asking China for help is just bonkers.  But it's clear as day that he is bonkers.

3 things can be true

US government is a kakistocracy
Israeli government is a kakistocracy
Islamic Regime is a kakistocracy

"The leaders of Iran, Israel and the United States all voiced defiance and vowed to fight on as the Middle East war approached the two-week mark, killing thousands of people, disrupting the lives of millions of others and ‌shaking financial market"
