I wish I had some real answers as to how to bring Iran into the fold, Orby, i don't.
But history proves bombing them won't work...

Pakistan doesn't count as they are tied in with us, indeed they ran our Asian and some of our African empire for us. They're on side. Korea? They just want to be left alone. When Koreans start sending proxies around the world, funding them and arming them, then I'll worry. Until then they are contained. Not an ideological threat anyway these days, not like militant shia Islam. Korean's get off no problem. Totally different breed to those in the Gulf.

Well. In this case the rules have changed
The rules are, you are either with us. Or against us. Pakistan is fine for now. Kim or whatever incarnation it's called likes Basketball so he is fine for now
Iran is not on side and against us. Hence the need to pound them.
It's so simple, yet effective for 100 years. You just keep pounding them. Then, if necessary let them turn on themselves, example Iraq or Syria. While the natives are fighting and killing themselves, they aren't causing trouble overseas. It's so simple and works every time.
