Trump is in talks with Russia to end the war

I didn't see any "hissy fit" from Zelensky.

Appeasement doesn't work.

Meanwhile, Russia is deliberately attacking civilians every day.

These are war crimes.

But oh no, it's all the fault of the evil EU and the UK.

Collateral damage happens...the US/UK has killed plenty of civilians. Most countries have that issue...its when they actually target only civilians sans military target that its a war crime. Only seen one side do that...and has been since before the SMO it was just their own citizens. Trump is doing what the constituents who elected him wanted. Also...not for nothing...you seem to spend a majority of your posts talking Trump...the UK is a fine mess on its own. Seems maybe your focus could be better spent at home. Just don't post any wrong speak...you might end up in the clink.

Pretend Ukraine could outdrone Russia, and gain back the lost oblasts.

It's not happening and wasn't going to happen no matter who the President was because Russia has had a 3-year headstart, with a 7-1 troop ratio advantage and air superiority besides.

Then perhaps Trump shouldn't have been boasting he could end it in 24 hours and then made to look a fool by Putin? Making excuses for a President who's being played by someone he 'admires' doesn't look good!
That 7-1 advantage and air superiority has a taken a big dive otherwise Putin wouldn't be asking for help from China and North Korea  Biggrin

"Collateral damage happens."

Come off it, these are daily attacks on civilians.

Pure and simple.

It's hilarious how American withdrawal worst-case scenarios are mapped out to the finest details, but nobody has mapped out the best care scenario, a Ukrainian victory with Russian forces retreating to Moscow

How exactly is that supposed to happen?

As for the Finnish border, you can freak out, or you can realize this is an obvious counter move to make NATO nations beef up thier defenses so they have less to send to Ukraine

Finland, unlike Ukraine, being a NATO member, would bring the full force of the NATO defensive pact, perhaps minus the US if the rest of NATO doesn't pay a fair share of the defense burden

Amazingly, Russia can fight Ukraine for over 3 years, and we are supposed to pretend Ukraine can win, while Finland trembles, they will be next as a NATO member.

Russia digs trenches near NATO borders — Finland prepares for the worst Moscow is rapidly building up its military presence near the Finnish border. Satellite images have revealed new bases, hangars for fighter jets, and helicopter pads — in areas that were recently just overgrown fields and empty land. According to NATO and Finnish military sources, the Kremlin is preparing for a “post-Ukraine reality”: the redeployment of thousands of troops to the EU’s borders may be the next step. Helsinki warns that the number of Russian troops near its border could triple within the next five years. And judging by the current pace, the wait might not be long.

You should maybe check the targets Putin has struck? A lot don't appear to have been miliary targets over the last 3 years?
You say Trump is doing what his constituents elected him for? Maybe he shouldn't have boasted about ending the war in 24 hours then?

Maybe check the title of the thread? It doesn't say anything about the UK, maybe you should focus on that or post about it in another thread???  No

Perhaps you haven't noticed that the first word in the thread title happens to be "Trump"?

Seeing as how this war is a lot closer to me than the US and my country is regularly threatened with nuclear annihilation by Russia I  do take an interest in this War.

Starmer is a twat.  So is Harry and the Duke of Pork. Etc.

I'll let you know if I end up in clink.

Meanwhile, if you are in the US and are a Judge, lawyer, journalist, University etc that dares not to support Trump (pooh, I mentioned him again -apologies) you will face retribution so you folk have more to worry about than us Brits.

I see that you still refer to this War as an "SMO".

'Nuff said.

You mean 2 other communist nations helped another communist nation? Im stunned, WOW I didn't see that coming. So what they helped them, NATO head said the other day, Russia still outproduces ammo vs. the whole Ukrainian NATO effort combined.

Lol Everybody talks about how skeevy Trump can be, and then they are shocked, mortified, and embarrassed when he says something braggadocious.

We are talking about a war, and you are worried about "looking good."

Trump's American approval rating is just fine because, for the most part, his voters, approximately 52%, believe it's not about what he says but what he does. The remaining 48% are gonna bitch, moan, and whine regardless. Just as they have done since 2017.

Now, how exactly is Ukraine/NATO gonna take back the lost territory, again? and how long in months and years, and at what human and financial cost

Thats the only real pertinent question here...Ive been asking it for 3 years

Honestly?

On various poll samples (not just yours and his fave, Rasmussen) he's underwater.

Then you will be stunned to learn that Russia ceased to be Communist on December 26th 1991.
