How to lie with statistics.... nice one CBS. Weighing R at 5:2. Sheesh.
Don't get me started about polls they are less than meaningless even more so in the UK where people are getting arrested for POSTING on social media bad thoughts about the government FFS how mental is that?

none of that germain for this discussion.
i’m just glad trump is pulling us out of this Ukrain cragmire, if Europe wants to fund it let them.
looks like a huge money laundry operation draining billions from the USA to me.
so I say get the heck out of Ukrain, stop all money.
we are no longer in place to bankroll the world we are fing bankrupt.
our stupidity allowing politicians to destroy us with debt is literally killing our country.
Too Little, Too Late: Trump’s Prescription Drug Executive Order Does Not Help Patients
Biden abandoned Trumps failures for a reason, and there is ample proof that Biden's attempts did, at least, have some effect.
Here’s a list of drugs affected by Biden’s latest Medicare pharmaceutical price cuts
But Trump allies could never admit that. Similarly, they could never admit that the economic problems at the start of Biden's term, were due to the actions and legislature introduced under Trump's first term (such as his mishandling of the pandemic), nor could they admit that despite the initial setbacks, Biden's term had spectacular growth, economically, compared to many other historical Presidential terms.
These things are a matter of record now, despite the way Trump continually paints himself as always being right. We know he is a felon, a tax cheat, a liar, and a bigot. It would not surprise me if he were later found to have trafficked and had had sex with minors.

I'm not expecting a particularly sophisticated understanding of the moral and ethical issues. I definitely don't think that Trump and co. have any idea of the moral implication that a sovereign democratic nation has been attacked without provocation. All they think about is what they can get out of it.
Hell, the American public elected a convicted felon to the Presidency (talk about disrespect to the White House and founding principals of the country)!

That's what the US did during WW2, until they themselves were attacked by the emboldened 'forces against democracy and freedom'.
I'm surprised the penny hasn't dropped this time that if you let evil run riot, even the US is under threat. And I'm sure that if, and when, Russia thinks it has the advantage enough to attack its biggest target, it won't use conventional weapons, or give time for adequate defence to be raised.
If they launch, the US has only 30 minutes to decide and mount its response. That's why US Presidents have carried around the 'football' for decades. Do you think Trump might falter, or do a press release, before launching back at his 'close friend and very clever 'mate', Putin? How many more will die while he says "it will all just go away", again?
So, who is playing with WW3 in this scenario? Not Ukraine.

luckily Ive got a link and a meme for that.
Despite a range of sanctions and the threat posed by dependence on Russian energy, in the third year of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, EU imports of Russian fossil fuels in particular remain largely unchanged, totalling EUR 21.9 bn, a 6% year-on-year drop in value but merely a 1% year-on-year drop in volumes.
Notably, EU imports of Russian fossil fuels in the third year of the invasion surpassed the EUR 18.7 bn of financial aid they sent to Ukraine in 2024.

I’m not going to defend Trump. I’m not maga. Barking up wrong tree.
i’m libertaian. he’s got his faults. Left (not saying you, talking media etc) lies about almost everything concerning Trump, your list 1. It’s not pertinent to this conversation and 2. I can’t believe it (sources, again not you). If you believe those sources cool. I just don’t.
i’m happy he’s giving some libertarian wishes a nod. More than any other president. I had a little hope for Obama when he was talking about signing statements etc, but he felt like a rat so I voted libertarian (Johnson?). Glad I did. Obama reneged on that and everything else he said that I liked in his platform. I actually liked Obama more than Chase Oliver (2024 Libertarian candidate), lol.
i’ll agree trump is doing things I don’t like to, but again not pertinent to this conversation happy to agree with you in those conversations. Catch me in a 2A thread.

Good catch: 51% Republican, 27% independent, 20% Democrat, 2% undecided.
to get a high 70% he had to either get some democrats approving (highly unlikely) or almost every independent approving.
that is very amazing.
wish they had done 30/30/30 percent d/r/i
i would also like to know the percentage of people now after election that consider them selves d/r/i before the election it was evenly split D/R with 23% d 23% r and 40% i. If I remember right. I made threads about that at the time.

I'm delusional
are we supposed to believe the massive 100,000 plus pro-Trumpers in 2018 have all flip-flopped thier opinions, no wonder you love Zelensky
Regardless sounds as if the EU/UK has enough countries and Zelensky and Starmer are willing to continue running the meat grinder in eastern Ukraine for the moment.
only time will tell if Ukraine gets its land back and how many lives it will cost in the effort
