FWIW go read Hoover Institution's thoughts on Ukraine from the beginning quite a few aligned with the Western moves

That opinion of his has an agenda, it's obvious just how he writes his thoughts. Look between the lines.

Any way, since Trump is transactional, this whole thing could swing the other way in the blink of an eye.

Ha ha. Irrefutable evidence IMO.

Then again, if Trump is interested in great TV, then there will be another episode, stay tuned.

I'm watching The Darkest Hour.

It's about Winston Churchill and says a lot about not appeasement of dictators, like Herr Hitler.

Yes, I know, Putin isn't Hitler.

But, I recommend watching it. If only for Gary Old man's incredible performance as Churchill.

Don't underestimate us Brits in our determination in the face of impossible odds.

I'm watching the Russian podcaster who says that Russia needs to change and not be appeased, and all international criminals within that regime need to be prosecuted. (I'm stuck indoors today nursing symptoms of who knows what kind of virus.)

He also warns us to expect Putin's propaganda waves so as to brainwash the Russian people and try to bring in foreign investment. He believes Putin is losing the war, economically, and on the battlefield, so Putin has to make peace but he won't give up the occupied territories. So here we are.

Macron: The European Union may provide Ukraine with hundreds of billions of Euros in financing at the summit on March 6.

I want to all this talk put into action. The EU, Ukraine and others have to also include the Baltic countries, they have a vested interest in the region's security as well.

So, I'm not understanding the territorial ownership with the rare earth minerals agreement. Does Ukraine and the U.S. just take over Putin's occupied territories? Or is it a side deal with Putin and Trump, that Putin will get a cut of the spoils?

Hey, we do have something in common with Russia after all...

Imagine if they started 3-4 years ago... or just 5-10 years ago might have made a huge difference in today's balance of power

True, and I must commend Trump for lighting a fire under them. Imagine that this war would never have started with the balance of power extended to those countries surrounding Iran, which Putin wants to 'free'.
