Like going back 8 pages to find the last time your comment was thread relevant. I do project a deep love of whatever myself is.

And maybe not you personally, but I remember 4 solid years of quotes and fearful pleas along the lines of:

"I can't believe people actual voted for these [expletives]!"
"Clown World!"
"I can't believe THEY represent our country!"
"Our country is gone!"
"blah blah Marxists blah."
"Demonic pedo groomers."

Luckily, the Gods of politics love circular irony.

And pendulums really do look the same forward and backward.

Yeah I know I got off on a tangent here quite a bit... I apologize it happens I found a vape cart that hit on all my keys, on top of you do sometimes go from point A to B to X and Y and back to B. Sometimes you pop in a reference here or there that does a flyby, but I do see we agree the socio-political pendulum is at play here it was pushed one way for 12 years and the opposite direction only got 4 years. It seems now the left is getting upset at who is doing the pushing and how vigorously they are pushing. Just hold on for the ride.

As for the direct quotes those are not mine, I don't believe it is as serious as it is being made out to be on both sides.
I'd have to start dropping the hyperbolic GIF on a lot of threads including mine.

as Ive said I don't get that emotional about it, not that some of this isn't concerning it's just how I am

An ex says it's because Im a Libra and ALWAYS need balance in my life and some of my 7 chakras are blocked and need aligning.

GETTING BACK on the subject here's Victor Hanson with his senior fellow at the Hoover Institute's thoughts

I do believe somewhere those people pushing the buttons follow Hoover and other think tanks' advice, give it a read, and remember George Washington's thoughts on America being too in step with Europe.

Mostly though im just glad you can put your neurosis in a box occasionally.

I'll try and focus and stay on point as well...

From that source:

"Until now, conventional warfare in which tanks and artillery play a major role remains valuable and therefore essential. Until also these will get Robotic. Have a look at the Military trends to watch in 2025. The power lies in the coherence of integrated and combined warfare. As said, AI purposes are growing rapidly and as you know, AI learns from itself and the time could possibly come that AI will outgrow human control …. let’s ignore that ….. our species is great at ignoring things which we feel are beyond our control."

The whole point of them coming before the cameras was to say that they had an agreement.
If there was no agreement, then the White House wouldn't have announced the agreement and
they wouldn't have been sitting there on the couch with all the big players sitting around them
and the news cameras being there ... the whole point was to say that they had reached an agreement.

Zelensky clearly stated before the meeting that he wouldn't sign a deal if the security guarantees weren't offered:

"I wanted to have a sentence on security guarantees for Ukraine, and it's important that it's there," the Ukrainian leader explained.

Asked
by the BBC if he would be prepared to walk away from the agreement if Trump did not offer the guarantees he wanted, Zelensky said: "I want to find a Nato path or something similar.

"If we don't get security guarantees, we won't have a ceasefire, nothing will work, nothing."

Despite this, the published agreement says the US supports "Ukraine's efforts to obtain security guarantees to build lasting peace".

He said Ukraine would not sign the deal until Zelensky and Trump "agree on security guarantees" and decide on how to "tie this preliminary agreement" to a US security guarantee.

What we know about US-Ukraine minerals deal

From how that reads, it was a preliminary agreement that Zelensky hoped to further negotiate. Certainly, you're right it shouldn't be done in front of the cameras but it was Trump who was the host, not Zelensky, and it was he who invited journalists. He even said during that embarrassing conversation that it was a great TV show.

Now, whatever one might think of Zelensky's NATO aspirations, I just can't help thinking that the level of American diplomacy has now reached such a level of amateurship that even Zakharova wouldn't stoop down to while being drunk. And Trump and Vance did it all while being sober.

If someone has made a fool of himself, it was Trump. He clearly lost his temper and began flinging poop. If some Pentecostals hoped till now that Darwin was wrong, then now, after watching the US president's performance, throw their hands up in the air.

I'd agree with that.

As would probably the rest of the Free World.

Which exists outside of the US, but which is affected by such.....belligerence.
