It's a quirk that Trump doesn't seem to mind.  He's in charge.  It's his call.  I would insist upon it, but I"m not president.

It would be ridiculous (and petty) to compare Musk not wearing a suit, to Zelenskyy openly in front of cameras from around the world, insulting the Vice President and then sabotaging the agreement by trying to insist on America providing security and boots on the ground in Ukraine, when the agreement that was already reached was rock solid not going to do that.   

The meeting that was being shown in front of cameras was just for the cameras, it wasn't the discussions phase, that was over.  It was supposed to be just for the cameras showing all parties involved getting along and agreeing to something that would benefit both countries.   

Zelenskyy screwed the pooch.  He showed that he's an amature.  The agreement was already reached in private discussions ... and then Zelenskyy decided to try to add to it in front of world cameras and insist on American security (boots on the ground) when it was already established that it wouldn't happen.   And he pulled that crap at the same time he strangely attacked the Vice President of the United States.   

Zelenskyy was not ambushed.  He's just a moron.   A corrupt one at that.

Zelensky explained the monetary breakdown on Fox News yesterday. In total expenditures from the U.S. is around $140 Billion, so where does Trump come up with $500 Billion. It's robbery, plain and simple on Trump's side.

Yes ... hungry American children.  1/5 of American children go to bed hungry.  Those lost billions in the Ukraine, and the continued funding of a war that can't be won, should have been spent on them.

Israel is an ally and a strategic partner.  They are in a war that can be won and has to be won.

Ukraine is not.   

You want to keep funding Ukraine ... go ahead.  Canada can go write all the blank checks to the corrupt Ukraine government that it wants.   And you can send the troops to be in Ukraine when they run out of bodies to put in the meat grinder.   Go ahead.   WE WONT.
