Zionism can be associated with colonialism, displacement of Palestinians, or policies seen as unjust or discriminatory.
Apartheid , Racism, Fascist.

You could also make Zionism mean, "Cheese Sandwich"  if it suits your agenda.

I tend to use the traditional definition that's in dictionary's and online.

It's ironic that Israel buried it's own citizens while burying tons of Palestinians and now is mad at Hamas for it. Trump seems to be holding this together. Since both Jews and Palestinians are shrewd at business,  this maybe a Nixon goes to China moment. 

But here's the thing, both Hamas and Netanyahu and his supporters must be removed from the equation. 

The Likud charter doesn't recognize a Palestinian State and we all know about the Hamas charter. 

You can't have people who don't believe in peace when you're making peace.

Israel started out as a socialist state that we helped prop up. Since then, they’ve received more aid from the US than any other country in our history.

While they may not fit the exact definition of socialist now, they do have free healthcare, and Orthodox Jews don’t have to work or serve in the military, a big point of contention for the rest of Israelis. Though, I believe they changed the rules on them having to serve, I don’t think it’s been strictly enforced.

Essentially, we’re propping up a country with more social programs than we have ourselves.

That was my point. I noted that Israel is no longer socialist, but they have more social programs than the US.

So to me, I find it funny people will hyperbolically call people in the US communist while defending a country that is further left (economically) than most of the politicians here.

As predicted, they’re going at it again already. Netanyahu has ordered air strikes after Palestinians fired upon Israeli troops. It will never end.

 I say we stop assisting either side and stop reporting on it. 

GTFO and let them go at it until it’s rocks and sticks.

I don’t believe helping our ally is a waste of taxpayer money.
If it was a random non ally country, say Ukraine for example, then it would indeed be a waste of taxpayer money.
Would you green light helping out our gentile allies, like Australia, South Korea or Japan?
