He has apparently been given promises from Netanyahu. Is he lying about what Netanyahu said? Was Netanyahu lying to him? Was Netanyahu lying in other statements? Was Fox News lying? Is there even such a thing as lying any more? Who knows!
But let's just assume that Trump always lies. That keeps it simple.
Edit: Okay, I appreciate your edit, which happened while I was replying, haha. Yes indeed: words from "whoever". :lol;
I left it blank (changed it to blank) on purpose because I didn't know who was talking. And realized I was ASSuming.
Don't ASSume.
But still just more words -- until something is actually done.

As Trump said:
"ASSume? That's what the left says. Ass? Well let me tell you, we have the best ass. No questions. Everyone, they always say—that Trump, what an ass. And it's true, it's true. Quarters, they bounce right off. Right off. It's quite a—you know, Melania, the other day, she—but assuming, that's for the left. Not Trump. No. And they'll tell you—that's what they are. Crazy."
Now, you can't argue with that.

From Israel's Defence Minister:

A disappointment for everyone who was shorting Caterpillar, Inc (CAT).
Edit: Note that, contrary to what the Minister says here, there is nothing in the current agreement about bulldozing tunnels or demilitarization. I'm presuming that by "agreed-upon", he is referring to agreed upon between the United States and Israel.

Here will be the reason for abandoning the agreement and restarting the next phase of the conflict:
Quote:Israel assesses Hamas may not be able to return all remaining dead hostages, sources say
Israel assesses that Hamas may not be able to find and return all the remaining dead hostages in Gaza, according to three Israeli sources, a fact that may complicate efforts to finalize a deal to end the war.
Sources say the Israeli government is aware that Hamas may not know the location of, or is unable to retrieve, the remains of some of the 28 remaining deceased hostages. The latest intelligence is believed to put the number in single figures; some sources had earlier suggested it may have been higher.
One of the sources said the assessments are based on Israeli intelligence reports, as well as messaging from Hamas and mediators in recurring rounds of negotiations. The reason for the difference in the two assessments was not clear. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/10/08/middl...eturn-intl

I have a great beautiful tourist and economic idea.
Keep all the tunnels open, clear them of baddies, then turn them into wine cellars, olive oil storage, and use them for the local vintners and producers, and grow the local wine and oil economies.
I just realised I have never had Israeli wine or olive oil.

A bold vision of the future!
Ah, but perhaps consider: "terror tunnels", isn't that really just code for sewer infrastructure, and any building large enough to have a basement?
Perhaps Hamas hobbit-holes exist, but how does one tell the difference? Gotta get 'em all!

Usually hobbit holes have round doors, so I would start there.
If it's square, 'it's not there' (well it won't be much longer).
Also, I was told that Hamas tunnels are only under humanitarian and civilian infrastructure, like hospitals, schools, and supermarkets.
