Wide Awake is a part of the Sunrise Movement Group - a progressive political group, but I'm not sure whether the perp stands for what these groups stand for, as his specific words were more so towards removing a pedophile and rapist from leading his country in addition to quoting Christian scripture. So, perhaps the perp was just a very troubled and confused person.

A better video is released. If you watch it,  You have a K-9 handler who seems to see the gunman, and even 'talk' to him then walks away. Sees the man run out with a gun and does....nothing?
