Yeah, Trump wants a percentage and a slice of that pie.

But the kicker is, he will have to wrestle it away from the alphabet agencies and cartels to do so.

And then he will need to hide the plate.

Same problem they have really.

Accept they are not POTUS or constantly in the limelight.

Upsetting that applecart simply won't work the way he imagines.
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

The "War On Drugs" is just a feel good program at best. Hell, it's been going on since Nixon and the drug trade has only gotten bigger and more profitable. They'll make a big deal about catching somebody with 10 lbs of meth, but they don't tell you that 1000 lbs made it across the border at another point.
Same with fentanyl.
The Cartels know that losing shipments is just all part of the cost of doing business.

Thumbup

Supply and demand 101 really.

As long as people want a thing.

Others will endeavor to provide that thing.

The war on drugs is a mere facade.

Enforcing the immigration laws that are on the books,
and following the law while doing so, is NOT against
the Constitution.   You are clueless.

They have killed US citizens, falsely claiming self defence.

These "immigration enforcement officers" have targetted States miles from the Southern border, and which, according to the State governance and the FBI, had neither a crime nor immigrant problem. Those armed forces are clearly being used punitively by the administration in suppressing Constitutional State rights.

Noem even then defamed the victims, calling them domestic terrorists, claiming that they intended to take the lives of Federal officers (which was clearly not the case) and authoring online smear campaigns against them.

Noem is part of a corrupt administration that is trying to run the USA like it was some sort of mafia fiefdom.

This Shield of America is bringing back the Munroe Doctrine.

We have abandoned South America to Chinese influence. In fact it is a really dangerous situation. There's a very detailed article in the Epic Times- "Mapping China's Influence in Latin America".

There could be many different opportunities for Noem, the question is where to start. Just thinking outside of the box, maybe Trump selected her because he wanted eyes on what is happening in Latin America. What better way than put Noem around this.

Here's a couple of examples of what is going on-
Chancay deep water port in Peru-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwsbb0RhP84

This is completely under Chinese control. Some real oddities around this. It cuts shipping time by nearly half "while facilitating Beijing's access to minerals critical to its industrial demand."

COSCO, the Chinese shipping giant, managed to get exclusive control of this port for 30 years.
"The Peruvian port authority blamed this on an administrative error in 2024." Sniff

"In a further win for COSCO, a Peruvian court on Jan. 29 restricted state oversight of the terminal's operations." Sniff

The ultimate goal is to gain exclusive rights to key shipping routes, just in case a war should break out.

Maduro had a special phone- a Huawei special given to him by President Xi- which can't be hacked.

Noem is going to needs lots, and lots of help.

Then there's this weirdness-
"In the heart of Argentina's Patagonia desert, behind an 8 foot barbed-wire fence, a Chinese entity subordinate to the PLA's strategic support force runs a seclusive space station." Meanwhile in Cuba there are 4 strategically located sites alleged to have ties with China hold antennas and other gear that can collect intelligence on the United States."

Hopefully it isn't too late to turn this around.
