Off topic, but has anyone seen Fantastic Four yet?
Technically, it is available to stream from some rather spurious sources, and has been for weeks.
Dont quote me as to the quality or legality of the matter all the same.
Kind of the type of movie you go to see in the cinema imho, but each to their own.
As to Superman II, I pretty much agree it was better than the original or the third installment.
RIP, poor Christopher Reeve and Richard Pryor/Gene Hackman, now i come to think about it.
Yeah, i can't wait to see Fantastic Four also, but that's another one I fancy viewing in the cinema as opposed to at home.
If you are looking for something to stream, Happy Gilmore 2 is available on Netflix, just a thought.

I can't recall the last time we were in a theatre. Yes, I can. It was 2002 and we'd been travelling all day. I fell asleep during "The Jackal". I would like to see a resurge of drive-ins, however I recognise how completely impractical they would be.

I've heard both good and not-so-good things. It just depends on who you pay attention to. Will I be able to see it at the local cinema? No, I haven't been to the theatres since Covid; my projector and surround sound system are just fine. I'll watch it when it comes to streaming, as soon as it drops to $5, probably. That's been the same for all recent movies, shame you can't avoid spoilers though.

At least with drive-ins one can adjust the sound levels. That is my issue with theatres, no control over one's comfort with seats, sound, other people noises (eating, talking, coughing), and the treats are too expensive, which is a downer. I don't need any downers while out and about trying to entertain and party myself.

I wear the same earplugs in theatres as I do when shooting and they are perfect. Cuts out the overly load soundtrack and people noise, but you can hear the movie....just not at ear splitting, migraine inducing level. The last movie I saw in a theatre was Ironman in 2008.
I bring my own snacks.
Side story - My wife and I went to see the movie and she put a bag of cherry licorice in her purse. A couple we didn't know sat beside us and when my wife brought out the candy the lady said "Why didn't we think of that ? " So we shared it with them throughout the movie.
Theatre prices are insane when it comes to candy or popcorn. That's actually how they make most of their money.

Just preference, buddy.
I would be one of the people who said good things.

Talk about a bump and a half.
Best to shop in the sweet shop/pound shop before frequenting their establishments, methinks.

Last time I was in a theatre was 1992. We went to see Scent of a Woman with Al Pacino. I mostly remember the tango scene.
With the way too many are today, I think we should simply keep our fond memories of drive-ins.

Great movie also.
We never had the likes of the drive-ins over here, the weather would not permit most of the time.
