Iran is the Graveyard of American Hegemony
#41
US put boots on the ground in Afghanistan for about 2 decades, but a couple of bombs and a blockade will be the end of the hegimony? Quite a silly theory.

It looks like there was already robust succession planning in place in Iran.

Why should I answer your questions if you didn't answer mine?  Tongue

If it was so robust why were they meeting about it and then getting blown the fuck apart?

Are they getting blown apart?

Every second minute Trump says three conflicting things.

As far as I know, they are just blowing stuff up and then declaring that they have won/killed the leaders.

Then next minute, Iran is responding that they don't accept the terms and is making Lego videos.

I haven't watched those Iranian Lego movies, are they meant to humiliate the USA? Is it their version of South Park or is that how the Iranian Regime/Iranians(?) really view it?

From a quick LLM search, I mean both US South Park and Iranian Lego Vids seem to both utilize collaboration with Satan, so is there a consensus there?

Yeah the leadership, which we were talking about, indeed was blown apart. Twice. Consecutively. That is nowhere near something strong or healthy which is the definition of robust. Especially not the chaotic inner power struggle they seem to be having right now and their piracy. When I think of robust I think mount Rushmore or the sphinx, big Ben, the eiffel tower, statue of liberty, the schwarz forest, Chichén Itzá

Iran is definitely not the first thing that comes to mind

Can someone please tell me what this war has gained for the United States?

1. Oil/Gas prices are through the roof
2. We've replaced a dying 84 year old Supreme Leader with his younger, more radical son.
3. Russia and China are already refilling Iranian missile and air defense capabilities back to their pre-war levels (that were never decimated to begin with)
4. The Strait of Hormuz is closed to US &Ally flagged traffic (It was 100% open for business prior to the war)
5. Trump has had to remove sanctions from Iranian and Russian Oil so they have more money to fund terrorism
6. Our allies detest us right now after Trump has been trashing and trying to humiliate them for the past 18 months
7. We obliterated Iran's nuclear program last July (Trump's own words)
8. Iran is still 100% in control of all of their enriched nuclear material
9. We destroyed their 55 year old conventional navy and air force (most of which WE supplied to them 55 years ago) but left the IRGC Navy intact.

Please make it make sense... what is our end game here?  At this point, we are going to call it a win when we get back to the status quo.

1. Thats opinion, im not even feeling it personally.
2. Another opinion I can't answer opinions they belong to you
3. Says who? Russia and Iran?
4. I think they're capitalizing on this
5. Those were short term and expired
6. Opinion again
7. We set it back months, not obliterated, guess he is entitled to his opinion too?
8. False, While the Iranian regime retains possession of most of its fissile material, its "total full control" has been compromised due to the severe damage sustained at several of its nuclear sites. Not only that but there's not even any way to tell how much there even is because the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reported losing full continuity of knowledge over Iran's nuclear materials so how the hell would anyone even know Biggrin
9.Yes but what you aren't saying or just plain don't know is that the IRGC Navy and Iranian conventional Navy are two separate naval forces and the one you are referring to is the conventional one which is gone and the IRGC only has half of theirs and relies on decentralized, asymmetric warfare using only hundreds of armed speedboat they may as well be throwing pebbles

No one knows the end game because it isn't the end yet but if I had to guess it would be to profit.

Yeah, their Lego videos are a bit South Park like. Sometimes they have funny bits, but the whole conflict is a bit sad.

At least one of them I've seen depicts Trump with horns. There's a lot of Epstein references, allies turning their backs, and fat crying baby Trump, all to an aggressive but fairly topical rap soundtrack.

I think the end game, for the Iranians, is to keep goading the USA to use up all of their expensive munitions with cheap tiny attacks, followed by retreat to fortified bunkers.

That, and propaganda that inflames the partisan divide in the US.

Modern US forces been defeated in a a couple of wars by those strategies.

Also, America isn't the undefeated and unassailable powerhouse. It's lost a lot of times:

All The Countries That Have Militarily Defeated The United States (With Explanations)

Trump has already lost his popularity, and he is old and becoming increasingly unwell. I'm sure that whoever replaces him will try and reverse most of the trouble he's caused for the USA. The long view of history probably won't treat the Trump administrations too kindly.

Picked a topic at random from your source because i dont feel like debunking the entire list here's what happened about the "Nigerian conflict where we "lost"

  • July 2023 Coup: Relations deteriorated rapidly after Niger's military junta overthrew the democratically elected president. Per U.S. law, the Biden administration designated the takeover a coup in October 2023, halting most military aid and counterterrorism operations.
  • March 2024 Eviction: Following tense diplomatic meetings, Niger’s ruling military junta officially revoked the status-of-forces agreement, declaring the American military presence in the country illegal.
  • July 2024 Base 101 Exit: The U.S. completed its pullout from its smaller transport hub, Air Base 101, located in the capital city of Niamey.
  • August 2024 Base 201 Exit: The final 600 American personnel vacated Air Base 201 ahead of the September 15 deadline. Troops stripped the base of weapons and sensitive communications gear but left behind modular housing and heavy generators.
https://www.af.mil/News/Article-Display/...rom-ab-201 - and there's my source from the horses mouth

Doesnt really look like a defeat to me looks like we were assisting the democratically elected officials there and a military coup overthrew them so we left lol

Idgaf about Trump, if you think america is assailable come and fuckin assail it, if you are not, why even bring it up at all?
The only way anyone can assail America is with their words. If they could, they would, and you know it.
