Feds to take control of 2000 Cali National Guardsmen for anti ICE riots

I posted the evidence earlier.
Taxpayer funded professional agitators.
That's not a very good metric for trust.

The agitators are anarchists who showed up later, which are were mostly arrested by LAPD and the Sheriff's officers. There was no need for the National Guard nor the Marines. It's Trump usurping the Governor's powers to create a manufactured chaos to distract all of you from his failings and cater to MAGA.

I don't think the Guard was needed either but it is political crap .
Point being there is no reason to protest an organisation trying to uphold the law of the country.
Also I don't support deporting people willy nilly either.  They have to be here illegally or commit a crime while on a visa.

We are not interested in people applying to get in just because they want to live here.
The immigration system works on presupposing a legal immigrant can immediately obtain the sort of work WE are looking for when they are admitted. That, or they have a citizen sponsor that will take care of their needs.
No, we aren't going to widen the system or streamline it just so a bunch of people in the world can DECIDE to live here simply because it's better here than where they are.
There is nothing at all immoral about this position. Basically every country on Earth does the same thing.

I agree with some of what's going on but not the way it's being handled Half our warehouse staff did not show up today in LA one lady that did got so scared seeing ICE out front she ran and hid in a space so small we had to get help to get her out.

My wife is even scared she's from England and has a green card.

Is it willy nilly when ICE show up at a Home Depot parking lot checking people to see if they are looking for work there?

That is what is happening now with people employing them in jobs nobody else seems to want to take. To deport a 4 year old child who needs cancer treatment back to a country where medical aid may not be available is immoral, so is deporting people that have been working, contributing to the economy and being good citizens for up to 30 years, is indeed immoral.

One reason is that Congressional seats and districts are based on population. Another, you can't let people wander into a state where the homeless population is skyrocketing, thats off the top of my head

Quote:
  • Los Angeles County: Home to over 40% of California’s homeless (75,500 in 2023, up from 69,144 in 2022, a 9.2% increase). Unsheltered numbers rose 14% in Los Angeles CoC.

  • San Joaquin County: Saw a dramatic 100% increase in total homelessness and 160% in unsheltered from 2022 to 2024, though data inconsistencies raise questions.

  • Kern County: Homelessness grew 67%, with unsheltered up 128% from 2022 to 2024.

  • San Diego County: Total homelessness rose 3% (10,264 in 2023 to 10,605 in 2024), with unsheltered up 18%.

  • Bay Area: Grew 6% to 38,891 in 2024, with declines in Alameda and San Francisco’s unsheltered counts.

So states thats budgets are 1/3rd federal monies get to arbitrarily decide which federal laws they want to enforce?

What happens when a Cali immigrant wants to go to another state?

That would be the exact opposite of "willy nilly"......

"willy nilly" would be deporting everyone that is of Hispanic decent, regardless of their legal status. Which, is not what is going on here.

If they are a sanctuary state, then it's up to them.

No, it's desperation by Trump/ICE because he needs to fulfill his quota of 3,000 a day to appease MAGA - which meeting that quota will never happen.
