Now I'm reading General Mills' cleaning chemicals used on their equipment is also getting into the food, these are forever chemicals. Just read about Cheerios having high levels of phthalates. Phthalates are chemicals used in plastic. But the article was published in 2024 but I don't see any 2025 articles claiming these forever chemicals were halted. All I see in my mind are babies eating Cheerios.
Other foods containing forever harmful chemicals.

Boycott companies that refuse to remove the harmful elements from their products and lie to us telling us these chemicals/plastics are safe.
"Microplastics’ impact on health and overall well-beingThe health risks of microplastics are still being studied, but emerging research points to serious concerns, making how to detox from microplastics a critical topic. Microplastics can:5 Proven ways on how to remove microplastics from your body
- Disrupt Hormones: Chemicals like bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, and PFAS in microplastics act as endocrine disruptors, mimicking hormones like estrogen, which can lead to hormonal imbalances, reproductive issues, and infertility.
- Promote Inflammation: Microplastics cause oxidative stress, increasing free radical production and potentially leading to chronic inflammation, cardiovascular disease, and neurotoxicity.
- Increase Cancer Risk: Some studies suggest microplastics may contribute to cancer, particularly in the digestive tract, due to their accumulation in tissues.
- Foster Infections: Microplastics can serve as breeding grounds for harmful bacteria and fungi, potentially increasing infection rates.
- Impact Fertility: High levels of microplastics in reproductive organs may contribute to declining fertility rates."
I am not promoting the above detox method, but they seem to think they know proven methods to detox your body of microplastics.
"Zeolites are natural minerals with a porous structure that can trap toxins, including microplastics, and facilitate their removal from the body. Other supplements to consider include:-------------
- Chlorella and Spirulina: These algae bind to microplastics and heavy metals, aiding their excretion. Chlorella can enter the bloodstream, potentially cleansing microplastic residues.
- Activated Charcoal: Known for absorbing chemicals like BPA in the digestive tract, activated charcoal may help how to remove microplastics from your body.
- Probiotics and Omega-3s: These support gut health and reduce inflammation, aiding the body’s ability to handle microplastics."
That is the second time I'm reading about algae being an instrument of binding other elements to itself for elimination from the body. Interesting.

The antidote for glyphosate poisoning is glycine. We buy half a grass fed organic cow and I get the bones and also the cartilagenous soup bones. Organic bone broth or soups made with the soup bones or even geletin is a good source of glycine. I figured I don't need to buy the supplements if I make french onion soup and minnestroni soup out of the broth a few times a year. Organic jello would also be good to help detox, and I like Jello.
We usually try to buy organic cereals and have switched to using stainless steel bowls and glass bowls to store our food. The glass bowls we have do have plastic lids, but they do not contact the food usually, better than putting things in plastic bowls. But we do use a vacuum packer to store foods in the freezer, but when almost thawed I wash the meats and veggies before using, not perfect, but better than doing nothing. We also get lots of frozen mixed veggies to add to the soups near the end to get more veggies in the soup. I add carrots, cabbage, celery, and onions and garlic from store bought fresh veggies, and the carrots and celery are usually all organic...because they tend to taste better. Half the time the cabbage is organic too. Especially if we make coleslaw, it tastes so much better with organic cabbage and a shredded organic carrot in it.
I have started to rinse the noodles and rice when taking them out of the container to reduce the plastic load. And actually, that seems to make the rice less sticky and the noodles seem to have an improved taste. We usually get the Ahmish noodles...because they seem to taste better. Same with the chicken, the Ahmish chickens usually have lots more flavor than the commercial ones in the stores. The organic free range chickens taste great most times, but sometimes free range does not mean they go outside and eat bugs. I know some local farmers who have chickens, but the price is pretty high to get their chickens. So I try to get the best chicks for the buck. Those golden tasteless chickens are supposedly Plump.
Using activated charcoal is good for detoxing some things, but it also can bind nutrients. Using it only when suspected toxic chemicals are in the food in high quantity is ok. I do have some of the charcoal...it came in a plastic container.
Maybe it is too full to eat any toxins in the gutLets see, activated charcoal...Hmmm, maybe eat some BBQ chicken cooked over a campfire?
Notice they are spending all kinds of money researching treatments for plastic poisoning...but they still make millions of tons of it and everything is wrapped in or made from plastic these days. Did a lot of research on the changes in plastic to get rid of a few bad ones, but research showed that when they did this, extra plastic was needed to do what was needed, and that extra plastic with those safer chemistry was just as bad. The fumes of the plastic are used to preserve foods, Phalytates of some kind, they also cause problems. The bag they are wrapped in is poisoning the food too.
With all the damage the plastics are doing to the environment as they say, how come they are producing so much of it yet...and telling us our driving to the store is poluting the worls. Tires are now even made of some plastic chemistry incorporated into them...I guess they can't just use rubber anymore. And instead of varnish, everything has polyurathane on it now.
We cannot get away from the plastic very easily, all we can do is to try to lessen the exposure by maybe up to half. Even the cigarette filters are made of plastic now...probably worse than the tobacco in the cigarette. Just think of the people vaping with those little plastic pens or whatever they call them. Plastic in the microwave doesn't sound wise either....and the wrappers for burgers and fries at fast food places...again, plastics.
Oh well, we are all screwed, and getting stressed over it will make things worse, stress causes metabolic and endocrine changes, most time they are worse than better too.
So accept that we are going to be unhealthy in this new world they have created.
